2、趣味性, 提高课堂效率。3. 学习方式指导: 引导学生自主学习、合作学习、主动参与、交流互动、分组讨论等创新型 的学习方式4. 课时安排: 两课时(第一课时) 。II. 教学背景分析1. Analysis of the Teaching Material:The content of my lesson is Senior High English Unit 1 Lesson 4 City and Country.The topic of this unit is Lifestyles. By studying of this unit, we ll enable studencompare
3、one lifestyle with another, and know something about English tea and coffee culture. Help the students to develop the interest in English learning. At the same time, let students learn how to express their preferences.Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this unit. If the Ss can ma
4、sterit well, it will be very helpful for them to master this unit.2. Analysis of the students:Most of the studentsof Senior 1 have accumulateda certain amount of vocabulary Andsome learning skills, so we teachercangive them to study basedon their former knowledge experience.But we haveto keepin mind
5、 and considerbefore and during the learning processthat the English ability of the studentsis not all on the samelevel, thus we must makesure every studentswill bestimulated andget involved in theclass3. Teaching Approaches:As is known to us all, a good teaching method requires that the teacher shou
6、ld helpSs develop good sense of the English language. After the analysis of the teaching material and teaching aims, in order to achieve these teaching aims, I will use the following methods according to the modern social communication teaching theories1. Communicative Approach(交际教学法 )2. Task-based
7、Language Teaching任 ( 务教学法 )3. Knowledge goals:By the end of this class, students will be able to make prediction before reading by using prediction reading strategies properly. be able to find out specific information in detail by reading carefully.2. Ability goals:By the end of this class, students will be able to express
9、opinions orally and give reasons for them by using the following expressions: to tell the truth; otherwise; have/has to do ;live in ,etc. be able to compare one lifestyle with another. be able to guess the new words meanings according to the context of articles.II. Process and methods1. Lead the stu
10、dents to predict before reading and to read with purposes.2. Apply the brain-storm method to lead the students to think about the topic: City and Country.3. Enable the students to get the general idea of the passage by fast reading.4. Enable the students to exchange their ideas in group work.5. Aski
11、ng-and-Answering method to practice the students oral English.III. Emotion, attitude and value1. To instruct the students how to cooperate with each other, help each other and learn from each other.2. To lead the students to gather information, deal with information, and to develop their independent
12、 thinking.3. To help the students to form the correct life value.Important points:make sure the students can master the following requirements:1. Key words and phrases: office, crowd, farm, underground, walk, crowded, space, quiet, noisy, weather forecast, far away from, be free of , etc.2. Relative

Develop students ability of speed-reading and get some detailed information.2. Enable students to make prediction to guess the main idea of the

Enable students to express their opinions freely by using the information given in the table.Teaching process of the first period:Step 1 : lead-in 【 3minutes 】Before beginning the discussion of the topic: city and country, the teacher first lead the

17、 and creative thinking .Pre-reading:Step2:Vocabulary 【5minutes】1.Lead students to think about the following questions: How are city and country lifestyles different in China? Can you imagine city and country lifestyles in Britain?2. Then encourage the students to express their opinions and elicit fr
18、om students the following expressions: office, farm, underground, walk, crowded, space, quiet, noisy, weather forecast, far away from, be free ofto tell the truth; otherwise; have/has to do ;live in , nearby, otherwise, unfortunatbe good for etc.3. While eliciting the expressions, teacher demonstrat
19、es the pronunciation and students practice reading them aloud after teacher.Intentions: To arouse students inte rest in comparing different lifestyles and help students overcome reading obstacles and direct their English vocabulary memorizing methods.Step3: Reading Strategies 【3minutes 】1. Lead the
20、students to read the Reading Strategies: Prediction on page 14.2. Help students understand the reading strategies and learn how to use prediction in answering questions.3. Encourage students to predict what will be talked about in the two articles according to the title and the pictures.Intentions:
21、Help the students understand the reading strategies and use prediction in reading exercise, therefore students can have a better understanding about the importance of making predictions in reading exercise.While-reading:Step3: Skimming and Scanning 【12minutes】Task 1.Skimming 【5minutes 】1. Ss should
