5、了青 年志愿者的一些活动,并要求学生学会进行问卷调查并根据调查结果 写出调查报告。 1.1 WARMINGP提供了四幅不同内容的图片,要求学生就青年文化、 兴趣以及中外青年的共同点展开讨论,并要求学生设计出能代表现代 青年生活的海报,内容可以涉及各个方面。 1.2 LISTENING是一个叫DANN的中学生到青年志愿者中心咨询的情 况。 1.3 SPEAKING是让学生展示自己设计的有关青年生活的海报或提供 相关照片,介绍其内容并说明选择这些内容的理由。最后让学生简短 地概括出什么是青年文化,并讨论青年文化是否也有弊端。 1.4 PRE-READING通过让学生讨论中国青年志愿者的活动类型以及

6、 这些活动对志愿者的益处,以训练学生的发散性思维。 1.5 READING是一篇记叙文,叙述了 Lu Hao Lin Ying, MengYu 三 位青年学生参加不同形式的志愿者活动的情况,使学生了解到志愿者 活动不仅可使受助者获得帮助,而且也是志愿者提高自身素质的一个 重要渠道,从而激发学生对志愿者活动的兴趣。 1.6 POST-READING中设计的前三个问题,目的是考查学生对课文细 节的了解程度,训练学生的阅读、理解能力。最后一个是开放性问题, 目的是拓展学生的思维能力。 1.7 LANGUAGE STUD中设计了四道练习题。第一题为填字游戏,目 的是考查学生对词汇的掌握程度;第二道填空

7、题考查学生对连词用法 的掌握;第三题是考查学生对第二题中短文的理解程度;第四题要求 学生对Ma Hua的选择发表看法,并就 The best things in life are free这一论题展开辩论。目的是训练学生的逻辑思维能力以及论辩 能力。 1.8 INTEGRATING SKILLS中的阅读是一篇说明文,介绍了风靡全球 的美国牛仔裤的发展史。文后设计的前两个问题是考查学生的阅读理 解能力;第三题要求学生进行问卷调查,第四题要求学生改写最后一 段,目的是让学生学会进行问卷调查并根据调查结果练习写作。最后, 要求学生就青年文化的最新趋势进行问卷调查并写出调查报告。 2. 教材重组 2.

8、1 从训练目的上看 WARMING U与 SPEAKING以及 WORKBOOK的 READIN0NDTALKING基本一致,可将这三部分整合在一起,设计成 一节“口语课”。 2.2 将 LISTENING 禾口 WORKBOOK的 LISTENING整合在一起上一节 “听力课”。 2.3 将 PRE-READINGREADIN(和 POST-READING整合在一起上一节 “精读课”。 2.4 将 INTEGRATING SKILLS的 READING和 WORKBOOK勺两篇 READIN(整合在一起上一节“泛读课”。 2.5 将 INTEGRATIN6KILL 中的 WRITING 和

T: Nowpass your posters and pictures around the class and discuss why young people like these things. (While the st

20、udents are having a discussion, the teacher may go around and join them.) Ask the stude nts to show their work. 21、ers are tak ing pictures of Yang Liwei, Yao Mi ng, Di ng Lei, Deng Y api ng and Wu Xiaoli, because they have just been elected as the first five favorite youth idols. It seems that the newgeneration focuses on what their idols con tribute to society, and they are worshippers of pop sin gers, movie s

22、tars and sports stars. The youth are in spired to study and work hard to create a bright future. It is a com mon phe nomenon that the adolesce nts worship stars. But what kind of stars they adore and who should become youth idols is what matters. They should be guided properly. S2: The pictures in o

23、ur posters are on my U-disk. Can I use the computer and the projector to show it? T: Of course. Go ahead please. S2: Look at the screen. In our posters there is a mobile phone, a computer, an Mp3and a digital camera. It shows that the youth in the con temporary era have used the media more tha n eve

As new media and popular culture range from basic use of the In ter net to digital tech no logies to file shari ng, youths, the new “experts ” of the media occupy a position of agency, which challenges the historical stanee of protecting them from the media. We believe that young people s

25、using of the media is normal, so the teachers and parents shouldn t be surprised. If I can t use the computer, I can t show you the picture today. S3: Here is a picture. Look at the picture. Some youths are playing in water. They go outing on weekends to relax themselves. It shows a kind of youth li

26、festyle: work hard and play as much as they like in their spare time. Would you like the life? Why n ot join them? 28、s all show differe nt aspects of youth culture. But what s youth culture? Discuss it with your group members and try to summarize the concept of “youth culture ” in a few sentences. 29、ind of culture that differs from adult culture, but it stands for the main trends of social culture whether it is good or not good. It is a social phenomenon and it exists in every history of the human society. S2: Youth culture has aspects that cross racial, eth nic, and geographical boun daries, a

30、nd while all youth do not behave or think in the exact same ways. Many similarities suggest that the vast majority of adolesce nts fit somewhere within the main stream of popular youth culture. S3: Youth culture is about howyouth spend their time, what they value, what their attitudes, lifestyles, b

31、ehaviors, and con cer ns are and how they in teractwith massmediated messages, their peers, and society-at-large. These all make up youth popular culture. T: Terrific! But is there a negative side to youth culture? Ss: Yes, we thi nk so. T: Can you give some examples? S1: Someyouths form somesmall g

32、roups and overdo something for the ben efits of their own groups. S2: Some youths get into the habit of tak ing drugs. S3: Some youths break away from their schools or families. S4: Those who spend too muchtime playing computer games often end up falling behind in their studies and suffering health

33、and social problems. T: I agree with you no more. Teenagers addicting to computers is really a big problem. Step IV Read ing and Speak ing Get the stude nts to read the passage on Pages 259 and 260 in the workbook and the n discuss the questi ons in Part 2. T: Here is a passage on Pages 259 and 260.
