4、f the fifth century B.C.This head must have been found inClassicaltimesandcarefully preserved.Itwasveryoldandpreciouseventhen.Whenthearchaeologistsreconstructedthefragments,thewereamazedtofindthatthegoddessturned out to be a very modern_looking woman .She stoodthree feet high and her hands rested on

5、 her hips .She waswearing a full_length skirt which swept the ground .Despitehergreatage,shewas verygracefulindeed,but,sofar,thearchaeologists have been unable to discover her identity.Today we ll learn a story is about an archaeological discovery in Greece.In the story the archaeologists found clay

6、 fragments in an ancient temple.These represented the fifteenth statues of goddess which had once been painted .The body of one statue was found among remainsfrom the fifteenth century B.C.Which it s head was found among remains from the fifth century B.C.When the fragments mere reconstructed,they t

19、祀祈祷的”.除“ use ”还有其他的词也可这样用。consider.as.认为。是。recognize.as.将。视为。regard.as.认为。是。see.as.把。视为。treat.as.把。当作。对待。describe.as.把。描述。(4 ).from.until从.开始,直至。同样的结构还有from.till.和from. 23、式,可省略,直接将主语补足语放在其后。Eg:He has turned out (to be )a professor.他后来成为一名很了不起教授。.modern-looking为合成形容词,由形容词 / 副词+现在分词,常见的有:easy-going好相处的good-looking好看的well-meaning善意的hard-looking工作努力的(15).She stood three feet high and her hands rested on herhipsstood为系动词, three feet high是表语,当动词后的形容词,名词等被用来描述和说明句子主语而非动词所表示
