The former contributes to the fast development of Chinese economy, while the latter controls C

12、hinese population. The one-child policy promotes one-child families and forbids couples from having more than one child in urban areas. The policy brings positive and negative effects. The family planning allows each family to raise a child, so the family can have enough money to educate their child

13、. However, Chinese traditional idea embraces more children, and it is believed that more children imply fertility(生育力) and fortune. But now, people believe that they can focus all their attention on raising the only child as an excellent person. Meanwhile, the family planning policy make it possible

14、 that each person can share more materials.The family planning makes the only child feel lonely, Too much attention on the child also gives them too much pressure, which parents dont realize. The only child is privileged to enjoy the parents love, gets whatever he wants, thus having no idea of shari

However, the problems caused by one-child policy should not be neglected. Many couples in China hold the value of son-pr

Whats more, the decrease of birthrate causes the society to face aging population which means the time of population bonus is gone and the young are suffering great pressure to suppor

17、t the old. This will become the barrier to the development of economy in China. But the bad guys may not be quite as bad. The loosening of the one-child policy announced on November15th, allowing couples to have a second child if either parent is an only child, is meant to signal the beginning of a

18、more family-friendly bureaucracy. Provinces can set their own timetable for the reform, but they are being officially encouraged to do so as quickly as possible. Families will still have to apply for a permit to have a second child, but authorities will be encouraged to approve them without a fuss.
