3、and Indirect Speech直接引述别人的话,叫“直接引语”;用自己的话转述别人的话叫“间接引语”;直接引语一般前后要加引号;间接引语不用引号。如: John said, “I like reading very much.”(直接引语)John said that he liked reading very much. (间接引语)II. 4、t Mr. Saleem was doing very well.2)变化分解,陈述句解题步骤。3)Tips1.直接引语是陈述句变成间接引语时,连接词常用that,且常省去。 2.人称的变化,变化规律常常是: a直接引语中的第一人称常变为跟主句的主语一致。 c直接引语中的第三人称变为间接引语时,常不变。 b直接引语中的第二人称常常依主句中位于动词后面的谈话对象而定, 若后面没有谈话对象,则常变为第一人称。3. 时态变化 ,若主句谓语动词是现在时,直接引语变成间接引语后的从句则无需变化;但若主句是过去时,直接引语变成间接引语后的从句中动词时态要发生相应变化: 注意:a. 直接引语中的过去完成时
5、变成间接引语后则仍然维持原先在直接引语中的时态b. 若直接引语中的内容是客观真理,直接引语变成间接引语时则无需变化。4.在指示代词、时间状语、地点状语及个别动词方面,都有一个变化规律: 这变那,来变去, 过去变以前; 现在变那时,今天变那天, 明天变为第二天。 4)PracticeSaleem is now dead, and a reporter is gathering quotations about him. 8、k/ asked.语序是陈述句的语序 。2.选择疑问句 He asked me, “Do you speak English or French?” He asked me whether I spoke English or French.用whetheror表达,而不用ifor,也不用eitheror 3. 特殊疑问句变为间接引语时,疑问词 变为连接词,引导间接引语,词序也变 为陈述语序。1) He said, “Where have you been?” - He asked me where I had been.2) “How many pages have you read tod
9、ay?” John asked me. -John asked me how many pages I had read that day.3) Betty asked, “When are you going to meet Joe?” -Betty asked when I was going to meet Joe. 4)PracticeAfter Saleems death, the villagers from Pakan Valley had many questions. Report their questions using reporting verbs. Use the
