2、 attitude towards life in some point . The hero, called Oliver, is a orphan who was brought up by Shelia who lived in hospice. Oliver was regarded as a bastard, which resulted lots of discrimination . He was born in England -in a very old orphanage and when he was a baby, his mother was dead. In the

3、 foster home , he was on behalf of children to ask for more porridge ,which considered as a kind rude and impolite behavior .He was confined for several days and came across another suffering . Mr. Bumble sent him to a coffin maker. In this plot ,I was attracted by the man Mr. Noah who was also a se

4、rvant .He played tricks on Oliver to grab some external fun .He deliberately said Olivers mother was a bitch who had a child without marriage . And then ,he had regarded as goods, give him or her. Finally, he met a very kind old man -Mr. Brown, and he give help to Oliver. Since then, Olivers life be

5、came better and better. In an anther plot ,Oliver entered a haunt of thieves by accident. A girl names Nancy rejected Mr. Brownlows help .She had no courage to leave the haunt where peoplehad the same fate ,especially his beloved boy Sikes. In the end ,she was beaten to death .And this plot is the t

6、ransitions .It hinted that bad people are destined to compensate . I think Oliver is very brave and indomitable .For example, one day , Oliver met a robber, he was very frighten, he ran and ranAfter seven days, a thief, Jack rescued him .Jack wanted to Oliver be a thief too. But Oliver refused him,

7、he said:” I choose roam, but I dont want to be a chief!” Although he is only ten years old , he is younger than me. But his Indomitable, his spirit is very valuable .Oliver bear the largest pain, but he liked wonderful life and brightness future. From Oliver we learn a lot of life principles ,like s

8、trong , righteous and brave. We dont say he is a Legend children . But one thing is true , he is a living strong man. He love his life and not encounters also complained of life. We all like him, not for the reality rather complain or regret the past. This kind of writing is advanced .It satirized t

9、he dark society .peoples ignorance trapped kind people all the time .In contrast, Oliver , a naive boy who existed in a horrible environment ,always kept good honest. Although he knew nothing about his mother ,he persisted in beliving his mothers kindness.A little boy owned those good quality in dar

10、k society is doubted.But it reflects the authors opinion .Love makes the world go around . This topic was proved though the novel.For Olivers kindness ,he finally led a happy life with many kindhearted peoples help . This consequence accords with peoples common criterion .Temporarily difficulities i

11、s not terrible as long as you reasonably deal with it .And success is on the way .Whats more ,we should always put love in the bottom of hearts. The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof societ

12、y lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources Im talking about are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. Theyre abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another love and care. Those charitable fi

13、gures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply. Mr. Brownlow is one such person. The other day Mr. Brownlow had one of his elaborate watches

14、stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, andsent him to the

15、police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlows

16、 own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlows life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow h

17、ad to believe the fact that he had with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil. Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlows reactio

18、n. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came

19、here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people atheymight have done. Thats also a substantial part of loving and caring others. One day ,our love and care would be paid back in return. In our li

25、gic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered evil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. O

26、ne of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them,and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship

After I read it, I searched many things online. I dont know much about Charles Dickens but he is a

34、novelist before. But I find he was one of the greatest critical realist writer of the Victorian Age and strove for detailed realistic and factual description. In addition, capitalism was growing in the age. Moreover, childrens literature prevailed in the society, people started paying attention to c

35、hildrens education. In this way, the novel reflects the problems of this age more or less. I have to say there are many problems being exposed in this age. Firstly, vulnerable groups suffered from poverty and were bullied. As a baby Oliver was kept in a room with other orphan babies, allowed to roll

36、 on the dirty floor, and never given enough food. Mrs. Mann was responsible for watching over these children, but she was more interested in her pay than in the growth of them. Mr. Bumble, one of the board who in charge of the orphanage should decide they ought to save money by feeding the children

37、less. When Oliver was nine, he was put in a workhouse. He was just nine, but he was forced to work. To my surprise, the two adults for their own interests could ignore that Oliver was just achild and they could make a living in charity. Secondly, child labor is also fully reflected. 38、ich Oliver worked in hired many kids and didnt give them enough food. These boys suffered from hunger and could often be seen sucking their fingers nervously.
