3、 finish this project . abstract the present study presents a detailed report of project implemented to solve the problem that a majority of students dont like to study english and some of them dont have interests of learning english . it is hypothesized that students interests can be aroused by crea
4、ting some situations and improving my teaching. this hypothesis is verified by a four-week practice of well-organized interests work activities. among the methods of scientific investigation used are analytic method, cause analysis, and socratic dialogue. key words: create, situation, arouse, intere

7、inese or they may like it ,but it is so difficult to master, to tell you the truth ,i am afraid of english too, to tell you a secret, i also find it difficult, but i like it as a language and luckily i have discovered the interesting side of its and therefore i become an english teacher ,i would be
8、able to show you how interesting english as a language could be and thus you would some day start to learn english on your own with little help from others ,in my teaching, i always thought about how to study english better for students, i have found that environment of learning english was very imp
9、ortant for their studies. i examined my problem scientifically to see whether it is researchable. i asked and agreed the problem for my tutor, mr. wang. i hope i can solve the problems that have troubled me for a long time. though this research, i hope that i can apply my thoughts into practice. 2.
10、summary of the preliminary research. this part of my study was conducted during july,2010-oct ,20102.1. problem the problem is to let students like studying english by creating situation of learning english and arouses learning students interests. ask students to apply english knowledge into practic
11、e and communicate with each other in real-life. 2.2. problem analysis. in my opinion, the problem identified was very important problem. my preliminary research confirmed that there were two reasons for creating situation of learning english. firstly, the purpose of learning english is not only lear
12、ning some knowledge, but the most important thing is also to master some knowledge and apply this knowledge into communication. for do this, i consider that the most logical method is to let students like studying english by creating situation of learning english and arouse learning students interes
13、ts. secondly, it is important for students to improve the ability of using language, but how to do it? the guide of teachers become more and more important, some of the teachers class is quite boring and a majority of students dont like to have english class, some of them even sleep in the class .wh
14、y? through a lot of investigation, i found that it is a wrong way to teach students english without considering the students interest-arousing, so creating situation of learning english is very important. for learning english . through the problem analysis , i begin to know that a majority of studen
15、ts dont like to listen to teacher carefully all time ,it dont arouse students interests and cant use the knowledge that they have learned ,so that i determined to write a project to overcome this problem . 2.3 project objective my research objective is to create the situation of learning english whi
16、ch it is good for students to study english better. 2.4 project hypothesis it is hypothesis that students interests in studying english can be aroused by creating a lot of teaching scenes and learning situations. 2.5 possible solutions for this reason, in my opinion, i have provided some possible so
17、lutions, which are follows: 2.5.1 in everyday, i asked students to copy some important structures and grammar difficulties .if they have free time, they should read them loudly for some minutes. so does it, i think it is very good for students to master useful sentences 2.5.2 in junior middle school
18、 teaching english grammar , they are many methods to arouse the students interests ,in order to improve interests of learning english grammar to them ,i made some projects such as : tongue twisters ,games ,children rhymes and verses , songs ,etc . 2.5.3 with using multimedia, to create leaning situa
19、tion of students initiative participation. in class, if we can use computer and multimedia logically to create situation of learning english .let students understand english language material by looking and listening to improve interests of learning english. 2.5.4 fostering communicative competence,
20、 one possible solution to bridge the gap between classrooms language teaching and real life language use is the adoption of communicative language teaching , which has in recent years become a fashionable term to cover a variety of developments in syllabus design and in the methodology of foreign la
21、nguage teaching .the goal of clt is to develop students communicative competence ,which includes both the knowledge about the language and the knowledge about how to use the language appropriately in communicative situations . 2.5.5 to learn english, it is necessary that teacher must create learning
22、 situation of making students product resonance, let students study specific language in specific situation .for example: sometimes, you can ask just like this: nice to meet you again .how are you today? it is a fine day today. after having music class, you can ask: you had a music lesson just now,
23、are you happy? politely language can arouse and train interests of learning english. 3. situation create designi designed some of activities to test the hypothesis. in my project, i decide to teach them grammar by improving my methods in some ways , i would give students some tongue twisters ,games
24、,children rhymes and verses songs to create learning english situation and arouse students interests . i have designed six activities to be tried out in four weeks. week 1 activity1 sing an english songpurpose: to improve the childrens interests. procedure: 1. let students to observe this picture sp
25、ring scenery figure, describe the spring of appearance, feeling about spring, etc., and answer these questions:(1) which season do you like best?(2) why?(3) which season do you think is here?(4) whats in the picture?(5) do you like spring?2. the teacher to students read the lyrics and solution lyric
26、s mean. 3. the tape to learn singing songs.4. the role singing: some students learn a cuckoo call, some students cheerfully jump, some students follow music play rhythmweek 2 activity 1 how is the weather?this activity is based as in junior english for shan xi, book5 unit 1lesson 1 purpose; chant of
27、 learning is an effective way to practice the new content, its chant and rhythms can help students to improve language proficiency. at the meanwhile, to make it easy and to make the class lovely. procedure: when i finished teaching the text, i told the class that we would play a game .like this:1. s
28、how them the picture and let students discuss problems:(1) how is the weather?(2) what is in the picture?(3)what does the dog in the picture?(4) do you like the picture?2. listen to the tape, chant. the student to listen, look at the pictures and repeat.3. students are encouraged to say when do the
29、action and chant with expression. week 2 activity 2 what are they doing?look! there are many birds in the sky. they are singing and dancing .on the grass are sheep, horses and cows .they are eating grass now. the fish is swimming in the water. there is a house in the picture. a boy and a girl are fl
30、ying a kite.this activity is based as in junior english for shan xi, book 8 lesson 6 what are they doing?”purpose: to practice some words about animals, such as; dog, sheep, bird, fish, etc project preparation: a beautiful natural scenery paintingprocedure: do you know which animals english name, pl
31、ease communicate with you! round about animals topic i asked: 1. what animals do you like?2. do you like tigers?3. whats your favorite animal?4. next , i put up the picture of animals on the blackboard , give them three minutes to think about it , and then ask two volunteers to answer my questions (
32、1). how many animals are there in the picture? (2). what are the birds doing? (3)how many houses are there in the picture? 5. and then ask students to draw a beautiful picture.week 3 activity 1 in on underthis activity is based as in junior english for shan xi book 4 lesson 7.purpose: master english

36、dge. 2. next, i put the calendar on the blackboard, let the students say every month in turn, and correct pronunciation and then answer the following questions: (1) how many months are there in a year? 38、ant for students, how to create a good situation and arouse interests of learning, it is also important. it took five weeks to implement my project. for each week i did some comparation with the previous effect. i trust that the hypothesis has been proved by a lot of some things, which students can
39、study very actively in full of situation -creating. in the process of teaching, i have found situation-creating was helpful for understanding knowledge. for example: in book 4 unit 11 i asked: what is the wolf doing? what does the wolf want to do ?where is the wolf ?how is the wolf ?can he cross the
40、 river ?why ?. students answered : he is thinking , he is crying , he is at the river side he cans not across the river . he is too sad . after a while, there was a very interesting and knowledgeable text, which was doing by themselves. autumn comes here. it is monday today. look !the animals are cr
41、ossing the river , they are going to school, they help each other , some are sitting in a boat , some are swimming , some are flying , the elephant is walking , the dog is pushing the boat . but the wolf is left alone, why? because he is too bad. he cans not cross the river, he is angry, he wants to
42、 eat them. from the above analysis, i draw a conclusion that students interests in learning english can be aroused. 2. 5 data analysis after four weeks action research i designed a questionnaire, in designing this questionnaire, i also used feedback information from my solutions to the problems disc
43、ussed so that their effectiveness could be reflected by the results .compared with the first questionnaire (before implementation), the second one (after implementation) had its own features, for by now i was more conscious of the usefulness of creating situations of learning english. l 5.1 comparis
44、on of degree of interests in learning englishthe project consists of two aspects, the one hand is degree of interests which is before implementation, and the other hand is degree of interests which is after implementation. this graph proved that our implementation of the solution is fruitful and eff
45、ective, i think the improvement is mainly due to these three factors: firstly, providing a real-life for learning english, secondly, putting the theory of english into communication .thirdly, encouraging the students to practice in pairs after class. 6 problems unsolved after i thought seriously and
46、 had exchanges of views on the project with my students, i found out that although creating situation of learning english can arouse students interests by doing some practice. but some students can not do their best to study english, i think this question comes by two aspects: firstly, it cans not u
47、se individual pair, group and whole class practice formats to create a pleasant, relaxed, and dynamic situation of learning english. secondly, the way of teaching: teachers should do articulation practice more than once, because clear pronunciation is very helpful for students to learning english be
48、tter. 7 conclusion from the project i have learned that situation-creating and arousing student interests were very important for learning english . i found there were many situations in which we used more than one method, for this reason alone, it was valuable to integrate the language skills, but
49、there were other reasons why integration can enhance the students communicative competence. many educationalists stress the importance of creating learning english situation and arousing students interests and it can improve their communicative competence. so, if students are able to read a short st
50、ory, this skill will help them to write their own stories. in the same way, if they understand a dialogue about buying things in a shop, they can use this for practicing their own speaking skills in a similar situation. above on, creating situation means that you are working at the level of realisti
51、c communication, which is the aim of the communicative approach and many researchers believe that handling realistic communication is an integral part of essential conditions for language learning. from the project , i found my weak points , i can not use the skill of having class freely ,i can not
52、divide the students into groups rationally for them to study english better . because an important feature of todays language classroom is that students do not always study as one big group, rather, for much of class time, students are broken down to groups of different sizes. through write this pro
53、ject, i understand many things about teaching, my students also learned a lot. we can say they had made a great progress .at the meanwhile, i feel that i should have done better, if i had more time to summarize and think about this project .because the most important and most difficult part of the m
54、aking of a good language teacher is the development of professional competence, which is the state or quality of being adequately qualified for the profession, and armed with a specific range of skills, strategies, knowledge and ability. so in the future i will continue to write this kind of project
