2、p 作“被提出,被谈到”讲时,为不及物动词短语,没有被动语态。其主语是被提出的内容。 come up with “提出,想出”,主语一般为人,宾语为建议、计划、方案等被提出的内容。 你的名字在我们的谈话中被提到了。Your name came up in our conversation.她在会议上提出了一个新的想法。She came up with a new idea at the meeting.Come 构成的常见短语:Come to 达到;苏醒;共计;谈到,涉及Come about 发生Come across 偶然遇见;碰见 come down 下来;流传下来 come out 出现

4、 with Comes outCome across2、actual 的用法:actual adj. 实际的,事实上 = n .actuality 现实,事实 = actually adv.实际上,事实上;居然,竟然 act = actual = actuallyeg. 事实上我什么都没有。Actually I didnt have any thing.他看起来很年轻,但他已经50岁了。He looks young,but he is actually 50 years old. 他竟然指望我给他买票。He actually expected me to pay for his ticket.

5、 in actual fact 事实上 actually in fact as a matter of fact 3.Base的用法 1) vt.以为根基。常用短语:baseon/upon,把建立在上 be based on/upon以为根据这个故事是以事实为基础的。This story is based on facts.这部电影是根据一本小说改编的。The film is based on a novel.2)n. 基地,基础常用短语:on the base of 以为基础 at the base of a hill/mountain 在山脚下 区别:base 主要指物质方面的基础。(具体

6、) basis 主要指非物质方面的基础(抽象)Eg.建筑物的基础:the base of a building 经济基础:the basis of economicBasis n.根基,基础Basic adj.基本的,基础的Baseless 无缘无故的 4.Present的用法:1)adj.现在的,当前的;出席的,在场的 n. Presence.出席,到场;存在常用短语:be present at 出席 eg.恐怕我现在不能帮助你。 I am afraid I cant help you at present. 你参加昨天的会议了吗? Were you present the meeting

7、yesterday?2)n. 礼物;目前 他们给了我一台电脑作为我的生日礼物。 They give me a computer as a birthday present.3)vt.赠送;介绍They presented a lot of money to the college .常见短语:Present sb. With sth.=present sth to sb. 把某物送给某人。目前 at present=at the present time注意:present (作前置定语)现在的,目前的 (作后置定语)出席的,到场的5.Make use of 相关短语:Make use of

8、利用,使用.Use前可加adj表示程度。Make good/full use of 充分利用Make the best /most of 充分利用Eg.我们必须充分利用时间。 We must make full/good use of time.补充:Come into use 开始使用In use 在使用着Put.to use 利用,使用 use up 用完,用光练一练:1)She told me that we should time.2)But I am still not clear about how to ()time.3)My father also worked on a Ch

9、inese-English dictionary,which is still ()today.4)The waste water, after being filtered, ()was put to good use.5)Dont let yesterday ()too much of today. 6.Latter 的用法:1)n.(两者中)后者。其前常加定冠词the,常与the former (前者) 常用短语:the formerthe latter 前者后者.Eg.在猪和牛这两种动物中,后者更勤劳。Of the pig and the cow ,the latter is more

10、 diligent.我们有两种选择,很多人支持前者,而我赞成后者。 There are two choices for us.Many people support the former, but I favour the latter.2)adj.较后的,后半的;(两者中)后者的Eg.后面这一点很重要。The latter point is very important.在某人的后半生The latter years of ones life 想一想:你知道late, later ,latter ,lately, latest的区别吗?1)Late adj.迟的,晚的;已故的。 Eg. I

11、am sorry I am late.2)Later adj./adv.较迟的(late的比较级);后来,以后Eg.那天下午晚些时候,玛丽出去散步了。Later that afternoon ,Mary went out for a walk .3)Lately adv.近来,最近。=recently / latterly常与现在完成时连用。最近,我看了很多英语小说。Lately I have read many English novels.4)Latest adj.最新的,最近的你听到最新消息了吗?Have you heard the latest news?试一试:1)-Did he w

12、alk or swim? -The seems unlikely.2)We will discuss this in detail in a chapter(章节).3)火车今天晚点了。The train today.4)他最近身体一直不舒服。He hasnt been feeling well .5)这是他最新的书。This is his book.latterlaterIs latelatelylatest7.Such as 的用法:Such as 例如,诸如;像这种的注意:1)即可用作:n+such as +例子 也可用作:such +n.+as +例子Eg.我喜欢像这首歌一样的歌曲。

13、I like songs such as this one.= I like such songs as this one.2)后可用v-ing,也可用动词原形。他喜欢表演从帽子里抓出兔子之类的魔术。He likes playing magic tricks such as pulling a rabbit out of a hat.=He likes playing magic tricks such as pulling a rabbit out of a hat. 你能说出such as ,for example,namely/that is 的区别吗?Such as a.一般只列举同类中的几个,而非全部。 b.其后不用逗号,直接列举。 c.只能位于所列举事物之前。For example a.一般只列举同类中的一个为例。 b.前后都用逗号。 c.可位于句首,句中或句末。Namely/that is “即”,表示列举出与前面所提到 同等的事物。8.FrequentlyFrequent adj.频繁的,常见的 frequently adv. 常常,频繁地(=often)F
