On the other hand there are forwarding agencies which do not have enough vehicles of their own or have none at all. These companies employ the services of a r

In this case the forwarding signs a forwarding contract with the shipper and makes a contract of carriage with the carrier.When planning road haulage, many aspects have to be taken into account. The route from A to B is clearly the most important one; although traffic

31、 generally moves faster on motorways than on other roads, there can be hold-ups. A longer route using trunk roads may be better, especially in Britain where there many dual carriageways and roundabouts. Wide, long or heavy vehicles present special problems regarding their size and weight. Geographical and climatic conditions also have to be considered.
