The place which/ that interests me most is the Childrens Palace. 定义定语:用来修饰一个词、短语或句子,常见的有形容词、过去分词、v-ing、不定式、介词短语。定语一般位于被修饰的名词前面,但是有些位于名词的后面,如不定式、介词短语等。定语从句:在复合句中,由一个句子充当主句的定语,那么这个句子就是定语从句。

6、先行词:被修饰的那个名词或代词。关系词的作用:代替前面的先行词在从句中充当一定的成分 把两个句子连起来构成一个复合句二、成分分析关系代词引导的定语从句 He wants to see the man. + The man is in Shanghai.= The man _ _ he wants to see is in Shanghai.两个简单句: He wants to see the man.The man is in Shanghai.= 复合句:The man who he wants to see is in Shanghai. 关系代词:引导定语从句的词 先行词:被定语从句所修

7、饰的词先行词一般是名词或代词关系代词 who, whom ,whose, that, which, 指代人: 指代物: 【及时操练】l 情景句。The lady wears a pair of glasses.She is my English teacher. 1. The lady wears a pair of glasses is my English teacher.The girl is my new student. I teach her English every Sunday. 2.The girl 小结 (1)从第1、2两个句子,可以看出:当先行词是人时,可以用who/w

8、hom/that来引导定语从句。 (2)当关系词是从句中的主语时,可以用who或that引导,并且不能省略。当关系词是从句中的宾语时,可以用who/whom或者that引导,而且在口语中它们是可以省略掉的。3. They planted the trees which/that didnt need much water.4. He ate out all the apples (which/that) his mother bought yesterday.小结 (1)从第3、4两个句子,可以看出:当先行词是物时,可以用which/that来引导定语从句。 (2)当关系词是从句中的主语时,可

9、以用which/that引导,并且不能省略。当关系词是从句中的宾语时,用which/that引导,并且在口语中可以省略。1. This is the boy whose parents are on holiday. 从这两个句子可以看出whose在句中做定语,后接人或 2. This is the book whose cover is blue. 物的名词。 总结 (1)当定语从句修饰人时,用关系代词 并且这些关系代词充当定语从句的宾语时,可以省略。(2)当定语从句修饰物时,用关系代词 ,并且它们充当定语从句的宾语时,可以省略。(3) 在定语从句中充当定语,其后紧跟人或物的名词。三、学以致

10、用 用who, whom, whose, which, that填空,使两个简单句变成一个复合句。1. I have a sister. + She works in Guangzhou.= I have a sister works in Guangzhou.2. The boy is standing there. + He is my younger brother.= The boy _ _ is standing there is my younger brother.3. Have you found the pen? + You lost it yesterday.= Have

11、you found the pen _ _ you lost yesterday?4. Do you know the girl? + Her mother works here. = Do you know the girl _ _ mother works here?5. I live in a room. + Its window faces south.= I live in a room _ _ window faces south. 6. This is the house in he once lived. = This is the house he once lived in

12、.7.That is the only way leads to your success .那是通向你成功的唯一之路。四、关系代词that 和which的区别 观察一些句子,找出定语从句及其先行词。This is the funniest film that I have ever seen.This is the first time that we have met.That is the only way that you can learn English well. American audiences will see the same movie that was shown

13、in Asia. All that I want is your advice. There is not much that can be done. I have forgotten everything that he told me this morning. We were talking about the persons and things that we remembered in our school.Who is the girl (that is) sitting by the lake? Which of those books (that are) on the t

14、able belong to you?总结 1. 只能用 的情况。(1) 从1-4句可以看出,如果先行词被 the same 等词修饰,关系代词常用 , 不用which, who,或whom。(2) 从第5-6句可以看出,如果先行词是 ,anything, something, nothing, everything ,much, , little, none,等不定代词,关系代词一般只用 ,不用which。(3) 从第7句可以看出,先行词有两个,既有 也有 ,要用 。(4) 从第8-9句可以看出,当主句是以 , ,what开头的特殊问句时,关系代词用 , 而不用which.2. 宜用whic

16、作地点状语,指代地点。 when: 在从句中作时间状语,指代时间。 why:在从句中作原因状语,指代原因。1. 找出下列句子的时间状语,地点状语,原因状语。 1)I was born in this house . 2) I worked in Beijing two years ago. 3) He is often late for school because his home is too far.2. 用when, where, why填空。1) This is the house. + I was born in the house.(介词短语)= This is the hous
