It ften takes human casualties t alert us t pllutin and such was the case in Minimata Bay in Japan when many peple died as a result f a pllutant building up

A factry was discharging waste cntaining methyl mercury in lw cncentratins int the sea and as this pllutant passed thrugh fd chare cncentrated in the tissues f marine rganisms until it reached tic levels.As a cnsequence 649 peple died frm eating fish and shellfish cntaminated with merc
