1、Module 2 Great booksUnit 2 Its still read and loved 设计的基本理念:本模块以Great books 为主题展开一系列的教学内容,本着通过介绍名著以此引导学生挖掘对自己所喜欢的经典作品的理解,培养学生爱读书的好习惯. 课 型:reading and writing 教学内容分析:这个单元包含两大板块的学习内容,即reading and vocabulary 和writing.其中以前一板块的教材内容为重点,而短文“The adventures of Tom Sawyer”则作为核心内容贯穿整个单元,向学生阐释了这部著作的伟大之处,由此

2、短文引出了对新词、短语、句型结构(尤其是一般现在时的被动语态)的学习,最后的写作板块是就本单元的重点知识实行实际使用.学生分析:学生已处于九年级上学期,经过初中阶段两年多的系统学习,已具有一定的认知水平和对英语语言的使用水平.但是学生对一些名著的英文名称还是不会说,要让学生平时留意英语的学习.特别是英语名著阅读.教学目标:1准确使用下列单词和词组:behaviour,cave,freedom,funeral,social,theme,treasure,clever,run away,dead,for a time,pleased,alive,talk about,southern,state2

3、.理解下列单词和词组:thinker,version,historical,editor,publisher3.能谈论自己喜欢的文学作品.4能读懂介绍和评价文学作品的文章.5能写短文介绍和评价自己所喜欢的文学名著.教学策略: 1.兴趣激发策略.有了兴趣,学生才会有了参与的欲望,才能点燃他们的思维火花. 2.任务型活动策略.在做中学,在做中练,在做中巩固往往有良好的效果.学习策略:1.自学策略:在阅读文章时能借助主要信息词理解主题大意.2.合作学习策略:能与同学讨论、交流文学作品的看法。教学手段:    本课采用任务型教学法,用幻灯片使

4、抽象的语言变得直观,为学生使用英语实行交际创设情景,实现师生互动,生生互动.教学重点:1.重点词汇:behaviour,cave,freedom,funeral,social,theme,treasure,clever,run away,dead,for a time,pleased,alive,talk about,southern,state.2.重点句型: 含有一般现在时的被动语态的句子.教学难点:掌握一般现在时的被动语态的概念和用法.教学过程:Step1:Leading-inT: In unit 1,weve known an America author called Mark Tw

How much do you know about this book?S2:From the name of the book I guess it is about the adventure of a boy.T

6、: Smart! In this unit ,well learn more about this great book.S: Yes.(设计意图:通过图片以及师生之间的探讨引入本单元的主题汤姆索亚历险记。)Step2:fast- reading首先先向学生讲解快速阅读的方法,特别是读每段的首句,快速定位关键信息的位置,提炼相关信息,在此基础上完成每段大意的连线题.T: Give you 5 minutes to read the passage and find the main idea of each paragraph.Para 1 C. the storyPara 2 D.
