3、y third year at anqing tv university and i am now ready for my final assault,that is, to launch my practical project design- but for quite a long time, 1 was still stuck on the ground. 1 didn" t know what to do and what kind of problem 1 should sort out from my teaching experienee. so t went to

4、 talk with my tutor, mr. qu ping. he helped me think of a problem which has been puzzling me for a long time in my english teaching. my problem was that my students didn t quite like doing tasks and activities in or after class. it seemed researchable and suitable. so he told me that i should design

5、 a project in such a way that i make my students change their mind and enjoy doing tasks and activities i assign them.after a serious considcration about my problem 1 got c 1 ear how toget off the ground. and here is the timetable of my project.stageweekcalendar datetasks and activities11march 1016i

9、 mentioned six scientific methods which were very useful and important to my problem. i decided to use three of them, the analysis method, the cause analysis, and brainstorming to analyze my problem.the analytic method:the phrase “some of” in 'some of my students do not like doing the tasks and

10、activities' made me think of the other side of the issue: some of my students do like doing tasks and activitics. this, in turn, made me think of these: why some don" t, while others do? who are some that don" t? and who are the others that do?moreover, "my students” is in contras

11、t with “my colleagues' students” this prompted me to make a chain of reflections:what about some of my colleagues' students? is it also the case tha.t they don? t 1 ike doing tasks and activities,either? tf, on the other hand, all of my colleagues' students like doing tasks in or after c

12、lass, then my problem is actually caused by myself, not by my students. probably the tasks and activities i asked my students to do were poorly designed.cause analysis:the teachers sidethat is myself the students' side the task design the classroom managementthe teacher" s sidethat myself()

14、and they would like to do some easy work in class.()still others are accustomed to the traditional pattern of teaching and learning.the task design()the tasks and activities are not suitable for them.the classroom management() the classroom is perhaps getting a bit too noisy() students may not be pr

37、eaki ng, t here has been signified nt improveme nt after the implementation. the questiormaire shows that my students were all interested in my lesson and enjoyed my teaching very much. int eres t:the questionnaite shows that there is a drastic improvement in this regard. most of the subjects who ra

38、nk themselves in scale "like” and “ like very much” amount to 75.2%.opractical ity:the questionnaire also shows that 100% of the students think the tasks and activities i asked to do in or after class now are more practical and scientific than before.osa ti sfaction:our data shows that 100% of

39、the students are more satisfied with the tasks and activities i assigned them to do than were before. <>characteristics of the experiment:in my experiment, i divided a nature class into several groups according to their abilit* habit, interest and the foundation of english. in my teaching t di

40、vided the whole class into four groups (group a/group b/group c/group d). then i give each group a certain target for them to achieve. i also design different activities for them to do in or after class so that everyone in the class feels it is not too difficult to participate in class activities an

41、d of course it wi 11 cultivate their motive of 1 earning greatly.compared with the traditional teaching models, this kind of model has the following characteristics:1. multiplied teaching methodsin my teaching i used more than one kind of method to achieve my teaching target such as: task-based meth

42、od, companionship studying method and so on. every activity cannot be finished with one method.2. varificd tasks and activiticstn traditional teaching, the teacher often asks the students who do well in english to help the ones who are not good at it. this confines the good students to improve engli

43、sh while the ones who are weak in english feel it is a little difficult to cooperate with their partners. little by little they will lose their interest in studying and doing class activities. in my teaching i let the good students sit together and work together so that they can discuss much more cl

44、ifficuit problems and harder work. and at the meantime 1 let the ones sit and work together. this gave much more chances for them to parti ci pa te in the class activities and they didt feel it too hard to work out the tasks with their partners or with the help of the students in the same group or o

45、ther groups or the teacher.3. leveled teaching aimsfor different groups of students, i gave them different tasks and activities to do and ask them to achieve different levels of targets. for group a and group b i gave them a little more difficult work to do and for group c and group d some easy work

46、 to do so that group a and b students felt a little challenging while group c and d students fel t it was not so hard to to uch the t arget t pl an for them if t hey themselves put their heart into it.4. diversified types of evaluationtraditional teaching models evaluate the individuals mostly accor

47、ding to their marks they got in the exams. this neglects the study process of the students and hurt their initiatives of studying. tn my teaching i not only pay attention to the scores the students get in exams but also attach importanee to the study process of the students. this inspired the initia

52、class. it is hypothesized that learners' interest in worki ng on en glish can be grea tly in creased by a bet ter desig n of t asks and activities. this hypothesis is verified by three-week practice of wel1-designed tasks and activities.among the methods of scientific investigation used are anal
