1、Module 8 Choosing presentsUnit 1 I always like birthday parties.教学设计肇源县头台镇中学 张艳琦一、教材分析 本模块的话题是生日,是学生比较感兴趣的话题。生日对每个人来说都十分重要,过生日不仅是一种个人行为,也反映出一定的文化特点。本模块第一单元是邀请朋友参加自己的生日聚会,是一节听说课,内容涉及中国孩子和外国孩子如何过生日,能让学生了解国外的生日文化,比较中西方生日文化的不同,并借此培养和提高学生的跨文化交际意识。二、教学目标 知识目标: Key vocabulary-card, party, present, would, a

2、lways, great, cake, never, cut, give, sing, happy, choose, wear, shoe, spend, money, film, song, usually, sometimes, often. Key structures- Would you like to? I always/ often/ usually/ sometimes/ never 能力目标: 能识别用 “Would you like to ?” 句型发出的邀请和能听懂关于如何过生日的简单描述。能读懂关于生日庆祝的短文和识别人们的爱好。能正确使用一般现在时介绍他人的爱好。 情

3、感目标: 注意学习生活中有关生日礼物的简单英语。培养乐于交友、乐于与他人合作、健康向上的品格。三、教学重点难点 教学重点:用“Would you like to.?”发出邀请。 教学难点:To understand the description of birthday celebration and talk about others birthday.四、教学过程 Step1 Warming-up Greetings each other. Organize the Ss to enjoy and sing a happy songHappy birthday. Listen to the

4、 songs and sing with the recorder. Answer the question: What is the song about? ( Birthday) Step2 Free talkThe students make a survey in groups. And answer the teachers questions.Q1: When is your birthday?Q2:How do you celebrate your birthday? Step3 Presentation Show the Ss the pictures and teach th

5、e new words. Look at the pictures and answer the teachers questions. They can answer all together, or a group, or one by one. Step4 Work in pairs Ask questions: Who likes birthdays and why. Elicit what they can say about birthdays in English. Write some question words on the board: How many?What? Wh

6、o? Where? The students make up some questions to ask each other in pairs. For example: 1. How many people are there at the party? 2. Is there a cake? 3. Are they happy? Step5 Listening Show them a picture of a birthday celebration and ask them to discuss it in pairs. Read through the words in the bo

7、x and have them repeat. Play the tape , Have the students number the words as they hear. Then check the answers.Step6 Listen and read Listen to the conversation and choose the best answers. Ask the Ss to work with their groups to read the conversation, then ask several pairs to act it out.Step7 Underline Read the passage and think about what the correct words are to complete the sentences. Remind them to read the whole sentence before they underline

10、the correct word. Check their answers in pairs.Step8 Practice Let the students complete the sentences with the words from the box, then check the answers. Finish off Activity 5, then check the answers.Step9 Make a survey Work in groups of three. One interviews the other two students about their scho
