3、Paper><Xiamen Net Paper>4. Reason for this planSichuan EarthquakeOn May 12, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8 occurred in Sichuan killed more than 30，000 people and buried more than 14,000 people. In the several months that follow, people will begin to repair buildings, roads and bridges.

4、 The more difficult thing to be repaired is the pain in the victims heart which will still take a long time. After the earthquake, many families were broken; many people will live away from their hometown and away from their familiar society. They will be likely to fall into the situation of alcohol

5、ism, divorcing, losing job, experienced being deserted and committing suicide. These conditions are our utmost concernExperience of Taiwan 921 big earthquakeAt 1:47 am on September 21, 1999, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 occurred in Taiwan. It is the biggest disaster to have happened in Taiw

6、an in 20 century. According to associated data, this earthquake killed 2,415 people, hurt 8,000 people, destroyed 40845 houses and damaged 41373 houses.September 23, CEO of Outward Bound Taiwan Liao Pinghuang entered the disaster area. September 24, even though with the electronic power back, many p

7、eople still live outside and were afraid of going back into the house.October 1, Liao Pinghuang visited Taizhong Provision Tuniu primary school and found children staying below the trees. They were in daze and teachers do not know how to deal with the situation, they could not educate, cure nor lead

8、 the students.October 4, Liao Pinghuang led a group of colleaguesAnd in cooperation with Hai Tang Education Fund Organization, Nantou Provision Team and Liande Developing Fund Team to provide supporting servicein the disaster area. The work included 200 Taizhong Relieve Team members to enter the dis

9、aster area tohelp in re-building and re-covering of the disaster stricken area.5、Execution Plan1、What can “Love Circle in Motion” project do for Sichuan?a、Provide therapy for students, teachers and who are not too severely impacted by the disaster.b. With the experience of 921 earthquake rebuilding

10、experience in Taiwan formally The various organizations (Gung Ho Experiential Education Organization, Thinker Organization, Shanghai HuaDong University Psychology Consultation Center and other expertise) will combine their effort for staff of the organizations and volunteers to enter the disaster st

They will use their expertise and via conducting activity and counseling session to lead students and teachers to come out of their painful thoughts and rebuild their hope for life. 2、Main content for counseling?From pressure relieving to voluntary action-cure; work together, education,

12、 development to connect the disappointed individuals together; let them learn to communicate with each other, stop complaining, begin to listen, accept the truth and adjust themselves. Encourage them to begin to take action to help family members, others around them and begin the road of recovery. 3

Plan for recoveryRecovery of students and teachers mental well being.Conduct courses for teachers to assist them to refocus their mind to look to the future and for them to counsel students with specific needs. Also, to carry out tailor made courses for students with specific needs to assist them

LtdThe 2nd batch: June 15-June 30, training for 300-400 volunteers of the 2nd batch (4 days) for them to provide service to the earthquake zoneEarly June, dispatch 10 t

17、eam members to earthquake-hit zone to find out the current situationMid June, 60-80 volunteers will go to the earthquake-hit zone to help.Beginning of July, 300-400 volunteers (the 2nd batch) will go to the earthquake-hit zone to help.Equipment-purchaseWe plan to provide the earthquake-hit zones wit

18、h 50 sets of 1-2 day training equipments and other necessary facilities. Once the teachers were taught how to use the equipment to conduct courses, these equipments will be left in local schools for the teachers. It is hoped that the teachers will help other children to regain their self confidence

22、hat went through the program will be chosen to receive long term counseling session and assist in their full recovery. Students will complete the cycle of appreciating the treatment they have receive and knowing how to repay the society by cherishing what they have.Time frame: 2-3 years7.
