4、 in groups)Date: 23-08-2010Class: Year 4, stage 3Time: 0900-0930Lesson Purpose/Objective/Aim: Students can identify key ideas of a given topic from watching a video, they are able to construct critical ideas from watching the video and presents it as arguments in a debate.Prior or assumed knowledge:

6、 students that this debate involves 2 - 4 speakers when the teacher states the topic "How computer games are affecting your health. Discuss?" (note: The teacher will take out a laptop that plays the video when everything is settled) Hang out individual debate planner sheets, ask students t

7、o fill out when the video is ready to play.Divide speakers into two teams, the affirmative team that supports the topic and then refutes team that disproves the topic.Start playing the video that plays for 5 minutes on a laptop.Help students to organise their points.The teacher will be the chairpers

8、on who asks students to take turns when started debating. The teacher will conclude the debate and explain to students. What is the best way to balance your lifestyle with playing computer games in order to protect your health?Students will be listening to the teacher's instruction. Some student
