1、Method Stateme nt for Pipe Jack ing1.Con structi on of PitsThe jacki ng p it with a dime nsion of 6mx5 clear opening with depth of 250mm below invert level of the steel pipe.The floor will be leveled by 100mm thick con crete bli nding fixing tow2.I beams(1.5mx15cm) in the cen ter of the p it for fix

2、i ng jack ing frame.In stallatio n of Jack ing FrameAfter the con structi on of drive, the jack ing rig will be lowered into the p it and adjust to the con trol li ne and level. The rig will be used on this con tract con sist of two nu mber of hydraulic cyli nders with a cap acity of 150 ton each to

3、 give a total jack ing force of 300 tons. The rig will have guided rails, pushing plate and base plate to hydraulic power back with con trol un it. The hydraulic system will run through a diesel engine in stalled the top of the p it.The rig will in stalled to the correct line and level and check by

4、thecon sulta nt in res pect to level and alig nment.3.Thrust WallCon struct ing a con crete block beh ind the base p late of the rig to a dime nsion of 2x1.5x0.5m will be pro vided to take and distribute the4.jacki ng load.Pipe Jack ing Op erati onA steel shield is used at the front of the pipe to a

5、ccommodate the miner and to allow for steeri ng of the pipe jack. The soil within the shield is manually excavated and loaded into a wheel skip for transport to the p it bottom. The miner does not dig outside the shield (both in front and radically) and the front, or cutting edge, of the shield is a

6、lways kept buried in the face, so stability is mai ntai ned. The shield is thus used to trim the excavati on to the size of the pipe thus mini miz ing the poten tial for settleme nt of the ground above the pipe jack.In the pit bottom, the skip is hoisted to the surface, emptied and retu rned to the

7、used to loose n it p rior to diggi ng. The exact diameter of shield will be selected to suit the pu shi ng pipes.As excavation continues, the shield is jacking forward using two hydraulic jacks thrusti ng from the back wall. When the shield is buried, the jacks are retracted and the first sleeve pip

8、e lowered on to the rails.This in the n p ushed up to the shield and excavati on can the n continue.When the sleeve pipe is pu shed home, the hydraulic jacks are retracted and the services (light ing& ven tilati on) disc onn ected. The n ext sleeve pipe is lowered on to the rails and the service

9、s reconn ected and the cycle rep eated un til the shield is p ushed into the recei ving pit and the pip eli ne p ushed into final po siti on.5. Maintaining Line and LevelIn order to main tai n the correct line and level, a graduated target p lateis located with in the shield. The site engin eer no t

10、es the p ositi on of thevisible sport on the target, this initial position is used as referencevalue to locate the relative p ositi on of the shield at all times duri ng thedrive. At each pu sh, the site engin eer mon itors the p ositi on referencevalue with the help of level instrument and theodali

11、te, thus giving ashield position (high or low, right or left) relative to the designp ositi on. Based on this in formati on, the op erator manipu lates a correctcourse.Exte nding or retracti ng a comb in ati on of steeri ng rams caus ing thefront of the shield to articulate in the required directi o

12、n carries out thesteeri ng. As the pipe follows the shield, the correct line and level willbe maintained. At all times, the amount steering applied is kept tominimum.6. Fixing Carrier PipesAfter compi etio n of the pipe jack ing , we check the line and level forthe steel pipe and we take the exact l

13、ine and level for the carrier pipewith the help of survey in strume nts.A 3 ' steel angier fixed by welding in the correct bottom level of thecarrier pipe, then 3mm thick flat bar half moon claps will fixedthrough wield ing in the correct line after that we put neoprene rubber3mm thick in the cl

14、a mp to avoid the scratches of the carrier pipes.Then we start lay ing the carrier pipe one by one and fix the cla mpsthrough nuts and bolts. After fixing the nuts and bolts we make an glesupport in betwee n the top of the cla mp and top of the pipe. Then wefix the other pipe in the same manner. The

15、 same procedure willcon ti nues up to the requireme nt.2 holes like ven tilati on7. GroutingUpon comp leti on of pipe jack ing we make 4in every meter, it helps the con crete fill the gap betwee n the steel pipeand ground. Then we fixed six inch grout ing pipe vertically one meterheight in the top o

16、f the pipe both end jack ing and recei ving. One sidewill keep ventilation and the other side for connection and thecon crete pump.After that we lay the carrier pipe in the correct line and level thencheck with the consultant and make the test required from thecon sulta nt the n we close the both end betwee n steel and carrier pipeby m/s p late weldi ng or masonry, the gap betwee n steel sleeve andgro und in the both end we close
