Many works such as Dragon Ball, Bleach,One Piece and Crayon Shin-Chan are especially welcomed by young pe

This essay will analyse, using the knowledge of Intercultural Communication, why domestic animation is less popular than Japanese anime and why those series are banned from broadcasting in China. And the writer advocates th

Besides the broadcasting, and selling all kinds of manga books,
4、the printing of animation characters on clothes and ornaments show that animation has been a cultural phenomenon in modern society, even a worldly culture. However, many people still regard animation as abnormal, low-ranking and immature production. They have the perception that animations agree to
5、children. This is a stereotype about animation, especially after people watch animation on China television. "Although stereotypes are exaggerated and overgeneralized beliefs, they are not always false. Some of them may be half-truths, and others may be partially inaccurate. Finally, stereotypes
6、 may vary in their specific content."1So that stereotype is right for the judgement of Chinese animation, not Japanese. Once people watch Chinese animation, he or she will get the following impression:the images are too cute and simple; the rhythm is slow; the plot is too plain; thus animation
7、is really aimed to children under the age of fourteen. Oppositely, Japanese animation is different. It is also suitable for the group of people above the age of fourteen. And the more people watch anime series, the deeper they like them. The reasons for the distinctions of the two countries' ani
8、mation will be detailed in the followings.Firstly, Chinese animation is aimed at low-age group. Because at the beginning of animation creation, the eyesight is only focus on domesticchildren group's education. So the creators are limited to make animation only for children during the primary sch

The animation industry is only a way for Chinese parents to educate their children on some basic knowledges which they think children should know. Therefore, the knowledges the animations include are shallow but suitable to children, and the whole animation series are simple and conventional. That is-everything on educating next generation should be on the basis of combining education and recreation. People will just think how to vividly put educati

Thus, mechanically expounding moral rules in simple and plain animation is the obvious reason why domestic animation becomes unpopular. The contents referred

13、avior consists of not treating others as you would not like to be treated yourself","people should be skilled, educated, hardworking, thrifty, modest, patient, and persevering". 2 Those contents are without creativity. Animation creation group and animation audience are different, and
14、 the contents and the narrative style are also not the same. Because what is of paramount importance to one group may be virtually meaningless to another. Cultures rank what is important. In other words, cultures teach values or priorities.3Instead of valuing history and morals, what Japanese value?
15、 This point needs analysis of the Japanese culture own characteristics, which is modification. Japanese culture has been and will be changing by copying foreign cultures and reforming theirs. They want to turn behindhand to advanced, turn deficient to sufficient. Change is an important and long-term

This can lead out that Japanese value challenges. Moreover, Japanese animation also includes legendary type,
20、 suspending type, campus life type besides adventurous type. Varied types make it possible for Japanese animation to be popular among groups of different ages. After seeing a lot of different types of Japanese animation, one can find two common points: Japanese seems to admire that a person should an

Sometimes the thing may be the Earth, the beloved, friends and friendship, peace and so on.Thirdly, Chinese animation industry is lacking of fu

24、even the characters are delicate too. Therefore, the good first impression lays down the foundation of its popularity. As to the banning on broadcasting Japanese animation on domestic televisions, it is because different cultures have different attitudes on the same thing. "Culture furnishes att

While, China's animation industry should learn from the advantages of Japan's in order to be popular, for an example, investing enough money for technology innovation, cultivating and enrolling more talents, focusing on entertainment of animation, using humours and jokes, being in the way of letting watchers feel an experience instead
