口译人员职业道德准则

1、国际会议口译工作者协会关于职业道德准则的规定AIIC:CODEOFPROFESSIONALETHICS(InternationalAssociationofConferenceInterpreters)AIIC:国际会议口译员协会是国际会议口译人员的国际组织，以其入会资格严苛着名，其会员身份是国际公认的合格会议口译人员的标志。该协会制定的职业道德准则对于我国的口译人员有较高的参考价值。以下是职业道德准则的英文内容。I.PurposeandScopeArticle1a. MembersoftheAssociationshallbeboundbythestrictestsecrecy,whichmustbeobservedtowardsallpersonsandwithregardtoallimformationdisclosedinthecourseofthepracticeoftheprofessionatanygatheringnotopentothepublic.b. Membersshallrefrai

4、nfromderivinganypersnalgainwhatsoeverfromconfidentialinformationtheymayhaveacquiredintheexerciseoftheirdutiesasconferenceinterpreters.Article 3a. MembersoftheAssociationshallnotacceptanyassignmentforwhichtheyarenotqualified.Acceptanceofanassignmentshallimplyamoralundertakingonthemembersparttoworkwit

MembersoftheAssociationshallnotacceptmorethanoneassignmentforthesameperiodoftime.Article 4a. MembersoftheAssociationshallnotacceptanyjoborsituati

Theyshallrefrainfromanyactwhichmightbringtheprofessionintodisrepute.Article 5Foranyprofessionalpurpose,membersmaypublicizethefactthattheyareconferenceinterpretersandmembersoftheAssociation,eitherasindividualsoraspartofanygroupingorregiontowhichthey

7、belong.Article 6a. ItshallbethedutyofmembersoftheAssociationtoaffordtheircolleaguesmoralassistanceandcollegiality.b. MembersshallrefrainfromanyutteranceoractionprejudicialtotheinterestsoftheAssociationoritsmembers.Anycomplaintarisingoutoftheconductofanyothermemberoranydisgreementregardinganydecision

AnyproblempertainingtotheprofessionwitharisesbetweentwoormoremembersoftheAssociation,includingcandidates,maybereferredtotheCouncilforarbitration.III. WorkingConditionsArticle 7Withaviewtoensuringthebestqualityinterpretation,m

Shallendeavouralwaystosecuresatisfactoryconditionsofsound,visibilityandcomfort,havingparticularregardtotheProfessionalStandardsasadoptedbytheAssociationaswellasanytechnicalstandardsdrawnuporapprovedbyit;b. shallnot,asageneralrule,wheninterpretingsimultaneouslyinabooth,worke

10、itheraloneorwithouttheavailabilityofacolleaguetorelievethemshouldtheneedarise;c. shalltrytoensuesthatteamsofconferenceinterpretersareformedinsuchawayastoavoidthesystematicuseofrelay;d. shallnotagreetounderatakeeithersimultaneousinterpretationwithoutaboothorwhisperedinterpretationunlessthecircumstanc

11、esareexceptionalandthequalityofinterpretationworkisnottherebyimpaired;e. shallrequireadirectviewofthespeakerandtheconferenceroom.Theywillthusrefusetoaccepttheuseoftelevisionmonitorsinsteadofthisdirectview,exceptinthecaseofvideoconferences;f. shallrequirethatworkingdocumentsandtextstobereadoutattheco

12、nferencebesenttotheminadvance;g. shallrequestabriefingsessionwheneverappropriate;h. shallnotperformanyotherdutiesexceptthatofconferenceinterprteeratconfenrencesforwhichtheyhavebeentakenonasinterpreters.Article 8MembersoftheAssociationshallneitheracceptnor,afortiori,offerforthemselvesorforotherconfer

13、enceinterpretersrecruitedthroughthem,betheymembersoftheAssociationornot,anyworkingconditionscontrarytothoselaiddowninthisCodeorintheProfessionalStandards.一、目的和范围第一条1. 本职业道德准则（以下简称准则）规定了诚信、专业和保密的标准，所有会员均有义务在其为会议口译员的工作中遵循这些标准。2. 候选会员也应承诺遵守本准则的规定。3. 按照纪律程序条例，理事会将对任何违反本准则所界定的职业规则的行为予以惩罚。二、荣誉准则第二条1. 会员应受

14、严格的保密准则约束。在任何不向公众开放的会议中，所有人员均需对口译过程中披露的所有信息严格保密。2. 严禁会员利用会议口译员的职务之便，用可能获取的机密牟取任何私利。第三条1. 会员不得接受任何本人难以胜任的任务。接受任务意味着会员在道义上承诺将以应有的专业水准工作。2. 任何会员在招募其它会议口译员时，无论后者是否为本协会会员，都应给予客户同样的保证。3. 会员不得在同一时间内接受多项任务。第四条1 .会员不得接受任何可能有损本职业尊严的工作或职务。2 .会员应避免做出任何可能有损本职业声誉的行为。第五条会员可以出于任何职业目的，宣传其为会议口译员和本协会会员这一事实，包括本协会个人会员身份

15、和本协会任何下属机构或区域组织成员身份。第六条1. 会员有义务向同事提供道义援助和协作。2. 会员应避免任何有损协会或其他会员利益的言语或行为。任何针对其他会员行为的申诉，或是对本协会所做出的任何决定有任何异议，应寻求所在协会内部解决。3. 任何两名或两名以上会员（包括候选会员），如产生任何与职业相关的争端，均可提交理事会仲裁，商业性质的争端除外。三、工作条件第七条为确保口译的最佳质量，协会会员：1. 应根据本协会通过的职业标准以及由本协会制定或批准的任何技术标准，始终努力争取满意的声效、能见度和舒适度。2. 通常来说，在单独一人或在需要时没有同事可替换的情况下，不得在同传箱从事同传工作。3. 在组建会议口译团队时，应近力量避免经常使用接力。4. 不应同意从事耳语传译或在没有同传箱的条件下进行同声传译，除非特殊情况且口译工作的质量不会因此受到影响。5. 应要求可直接观察到发言者和会议室。因此，除非是视频会议，否则应拒绝接受使用电视视频代替直接观察的方式。6. 应要求提前拿到将在会议上宣读的工作文件或演讲稿。7. 如果条件许可，应要求举办情况通报会。8. 在自己已被聘为会议口译员的会议上，不得从事
