2、oints.(4) teaching methods(5) teaching procedureNow, let me talk about the teaching material and the students first.一、 the analysis of teaching material and the students(1) the analysis of teaching materialThis unit is to introduce “taking taxis abroad”.There are three parts:listen and speak,text an
3、d grammar. The text is the center of this unit. It is the most important teaching material in this lesson, which contains most of the vocabularies and grammar points that students should learn.(2) the analysis of the studentsAlthough the students have the basic abilities of learning, speaking, readi
4、ng and writing, they still need many opportunities to practice what they have learned and to develop their autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning ability.二teaching aims1, The knowledge aim : to help students understand and master the new words, phrases and sentence patterns2.The abilit
5、y aim : to grasp some reading ability such as guessing, skimming, scanning and so on. 3.The emotional aim :to make students know how to offer and respond and how to take taxis abroad三the important and difficult points1.The important point :to help students understand the whole passage and be able ta
6、lk about how to offer and respond and how to take taxis abroad 2.The difficult point : the new words, expressions and grammar rules.四teaching methodsIn this step, I will use task-based language teaching method, which can give students a clear and specific purpose while skimming and scanning the pass
7、age.Task one: general ideaThe students will be asked to just glance at the title, and then guess what will read in the text. Theyll be divided into four groups to have a discussion.The purpose of this task is to develop students reading skill by making prediction and encourage students to express th
8、eir thoughts in English. Task two: main idea of each paragraph Cooperative learning can raise students interest and create an atmosphere of achievement. Based on this theory, I divide the whole class into four groups, let them skim the whole text and discuss the main idea of each paragraph with othe
9、r group members. Then choose a reporter to share their opinions with the whole class.五teaching procedureIn order to realize the teaching process systematically, I divide the teaching process into six steps.Step one lead- in“Interest is the best teacher”, therefore, at the very beginning of the class
10、, I should spark the students mind to focus on the central topic” taking taxis” .I will show the photos of some beautiful places on power point ,then ask students:1, if you want to go somewhere and have something urgent to do,but there are no buses nearby, what will you do?2, Is it cheap or expensiv
11、e to take a taxi in Xiang yang ?have you ever taken a taxi to go home?how much did it cost you?3, What do you think about taxis,buses and bicycles?4, Do you like walking?why?After answering the questions, the students will be eager to know something about the passage, and this is the very time to na
12、turally lead the class into step2.Step two new words and expressions After four questions in step 1,it is time to learn the new words and expressions. And some words and expressions related to them to let the students understand the texts better.Step three listen and speakThere are two parts in this
13、 step. first, I will let explain the important usages of some words and then let the Ss translate them, at last, let them act them out.Step four read for comprehensionIts important for English learners to learn important grammar rules and use these rules to solve problems in reality. In the process
14、of reading, the students must come across some difficult language obstacles. So its necessary for us to discuss and explain them. This period of time belongs to the students. They can ask any questions they come across. Ill explain the questions. The purpose of this step is to improve the students “
15、questioning spiritStep five consolidationLanguage is learned by communicating. Its my job to create an atmosphere for students to use the language. Here I design two activities.Activity one: retellingI will ask four students to retell the passage. I think its a good way to review what they have learned.Activity two: role playWork in pairs. One student is the taxi driv
