(1) How long意为“

8、多久， 多长时间”， 用 来询问某个动作持续的时间。谓语动词一般为持 续性动词。答语通常是表示一段时间的名词性短语。How long will we stay here?我们要在这待多久? About three days.大约三天。 【归纳】 how old “多大” 问年龄 how often “多久一次” 对动作发生的频率提问 how far “多远” 问距离 how soon “多久以后” ，用于对“in+时间段”提问 how many “多少”， 询问可数名词的数量 “多少，多少钱” 询问不可数名词 how much 的数量或物品的价格 (2) keep意为“保存”， 是及物动词，

9、习惯上用“keeps th.for+时间段” 如： We can keep the book for two weeks.我们可以 借这本书两周。 【拓展】keep用作及物动词， 可用于“keep+ 宾语+宾语补足语”结构，意为“使保持某 种状态” 宾语补足语一般由形容词、副词、介 词短语等充当。如I want to keep my hair long.我想留长发。 Keep the children away from danger.让孩子们远 离危险。 The heavy rain keeps us inside the house.暴雨让 我们不能出门。 【归纳】 borrow “借入”

Borrow sb's sth. lend “借出” lends b.sth.=lends sth.to sb. keep “保留， 保存”keeps sth.for+时间段 【注】keep可以与表示一段时间的状语连用，而borrow和lend则不能。如：“我可以借这本书一周。”可以翻译为：can keep the book for one week.不能翻译成：I can borrow the book for one week.知识点05You must return them on time.你一定要按时归还。(1)return意为“归还

11、”，是及物动词，相当于give back。如：I have to return/give back some books to the library.我得去图书馆还些书。【拓展】return意为“返回，回来”时是不及物动词，相当于come back。return to+地点，表示“回到地方”；return from-+地点，表示“从回来”。如：Mark will return to America next year.马克明年要回美国。Mark returned from America yesterday.马克昨天从美国回来了。(2)on time意为“按时，准时”。常指火车、飞机等准点到

12、达，强调不早不迟。而in time意为“及时”，后面可接for sth.或to do sth.,强调在规定的时间之前，以不迟到为标准。如：The train arrives on time.火车准时到达。We get there in time.我们及时到达那儿。知识点06Thank you all the same.仍然要谢谢你。表示未能达成求助，以示礼貌的答谢语。类似的表达方式还有“Thank you anyway.”。知识点07What s in it?(你的钱包)里面有什么？句型“What's.+介词短语？”常用来询问某处有什么。其答语常用there be句型(Unit6中将要
