5、ORKS- SUPERSTRUCTURE (CAST IN-SITU) to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the approved shop drawings and project specification.2.0 SCOPEThis procedure cover all activities related to concreting superstructure:? 8、uipment5.0RESPONSIBILITIESHealth, Safety and Environment? Project Manager is responsible for overall project execution, quality and safety. Adopt a leading role with respect to Contractor quality and safety procedures. The PM is responsible for the overall implementation of this method statement. Th

9、e Project Manager shall ensure that the key personnel are well aware of the specifications and method statement.? CM / Project Engineer shall arrange all materials, equipment, safety related items & manpower & direct the Site Engineers & Foremen to resort appropriate action for the smoot

10、h execution of the works.? Safety Engineer shall be responsible for safe working environment & conditions. Coordinate with Site Engineer to identify potential hazards before works and advice methods of safe working from new developments.? Surveyor shall be responsible for setting out for levels,

11、 layout, and lines & establish top levels. Ensuring setting out books are properly maintained and filed when completed. To coordinate with the CONSULTANT surveyor in determining coordinates, levels, and limits.? QA/QC Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that execution of works are complyi

12、ng with approved method statement; specifications, approved shop drawings and ensure ITR are submitted based on ITP requirements.? Site Engineer shall ensure that all works are carried out according to approved shop drawings. He shall direct the surveyor for the setting out lines & levels in con

13、currence from the Construction Manager/Senior Civil Engineer.? MEP Coordinator / Engineer shall be responsible for proper execution of MEP works involved before, during and after the works.6.0M ATERIALS? 15、mentsThe capacity / size of the above tools and equipment shall be judged in accordance with site conditions, requirements, and availability at the time of execution8.0 SAFETY & HEALTHSafety of the personnel and properties is to be given prime importance and all the works to be carried out witho

16、ut causing any accidents or property damages. Concrete works involves the following activities.1. Shuttering and de-shuttering2. Fabricating and fixing reinforcement.3. Transportation of concrete.4. Placing of concrete at siteHSE rules and regulations shall be strictly adhered during execution of th

17、e above mentioned works.Adequate access and egress should be provided to the site of work. All the personnel should wear basic personnel protective equipments. All the equipments, tools and tackles being used for the work should be in good working condition and maintained. All the personnel will be

18、provided with toolbox talk on the procedures to execute the work safely.Necessary risk assessment of the activities is reflected in the enclosed risk assessment.5. 0 PROCEDUREGeneral:? Prior to start any activity on site, the Engineer must be notified.? Ensure that all workers are aware of the evacu

19、ation plan.? Cordon off the work area to prevent unauthorized entry.? All the related documents such as shop drawings, method of statements, material approv

20、als, subcontractor approvals, test certificates etc. must be approved and available upon request.? Ensure the source of supply of ready mix and grade of concrete.? Arrange initial trial mix and conduct specified test.? Submit mix design and trial mix test result for Client/Engineer approval.? Site l

21、ab with cube mould, Thermometer, Slump cone etc shall be arranged prior to the concreting operation.? Spacer block shall be provided as per approved material.? Arrange the concrete testing area with proper shading/and lighting.? Polythene sheets, hessian cloths sweet water etc shall be arranged for

22、the proper curing.? Access scaffoldings, ladder etc. will be erected to allow reinforcement to be fixed.? Setting out, MEP clearance and civil work approval shall be obtained prior to proceeding.Formworks.? Setting out shall be done by the surveyor prior to proceeding.? Form work shall be erected as

23、 per approved shop drawings for the superstructure.? Approved materials used for temporary formworks should be clean strong and clear from any deflection.? Shutter will be treated with approved shutter releasing agent to enable easier stripping.? Install formwork to its dimensions correctly and ensu

24、re that lines and levels are within the tolerances.? The shutters will be braced and anchorages properly as per the approved shop drawings to maintain the proper alignment and plumbness of the forms.? Line and level of the shuttering will be set out by the surveyor. Shutters must be checked for corr

25、ectness in their final position.? Tie rods shall be used for proper alignment.? Tie roads are to be correctly tightened and rechecked prior to casting.? Gaps in the shutter must be plugged out to minimize the possibility of grout loss during the casting operation.? Cover to concrete shall be provide

26、d as per the drawing and specifications.Fabrication and Fixing Of Steel ReinforcementMaterialsAll reinforcing materials shall be as per approved materials.FabricationBar bending schedule shall be prepared in accordance to approved shop drawing and comply with relevant BS 4466.Method Statement forCon

Slow and steady pressure shall be ensured during bending process. After bending all bars must be securely tied together in bundles and appropriately belted wi

28、th member reference identification.Fixing of Reinforcement? Setting out shall be done by the surveyor prior to proceeding and ITR shall be raised for the CONSULTANT inspection and approvals.? Prefabricated steel shall be placed in position as per approved shop drawings. Approved 1.6mm dia. black ann

29、ealed mild steel wire shall be used to tie reinforcing bar. The ends of the wire shall be bend back away.? Spacer blocks of approved types shall be used to maintain the cover.? Support the reinforcing bar by approved concrete spacer appropriately to prevent displacement during concreting operation.

30、The thickness of cover block shall be as per approved shop drawing and specifications.? Wherever reinforcements are placed in two or more layers, minimum 25mm spacer shall be placed between layers. All bars in upper layers must be placed directly above those in the bottom layers.? All embedment or i

31、nserts related to MEP shall be placed as per approved shop drawings.? All reinforcement must be cleared to ensure that it is free from all oil, corrosion, dust and deleterious materials.Concrete Placing, Compaction & FinishGeneralConcrete placement shall not start until all other trades have com

32、pleted / installed their embedment. Once all embedment are completed CONSULTANT approval shall be obtained by ITR. MEP clearance shall be obtained prior to proceeding.Preparation for PlacingAll surfaces shall be cleared thoroughly, remove any water. De-shuttering oil shall be placed on the formwork.

33、 Adequate safety measures shall be in place. Appropriate arrangement and approval for conveying concrete

34、 (Chutes, pump, manual) shall be obtained from CONSULTANT.? Ensure that all the required construction tools, no. of vibrators, lighting arrangement (if needed for the night shift concreting), sufficient supervision staff and manpower is available.? Cranes, concrete bucket, Pumps, chute, Shovel and m

35、anual methods will be used as per the elevation ' quantity of concrete and to suit the site condition towards conveying & spreading concrete.? Concrete shall be delivered to site within 75 minutes after the introduction of the water to the cement, and shall be placed and compacted within 45

36、minutes of arrival. The concrete shall be compacted and in its finial position within 120 minutes of the introduction of the cement to the aggregate. Elapsed time between batching and placing of concrete using combination of GGBS and OPC of 180minutes can be accepted. Subject to trial mix and approv

37、al of slump chart for such period.? Target slump will be 160mm to the mix with a tolerance +40mm as per approved mix design.? Concrete shall not be dropped from a height more that 1.5m to avoid segregation.? Surveyor shall mark the concrete finish level.? Concrete shall be placed in layers not excee

38、ding the specified thickness. The number and size of the vibrators shall be such as to ensure thorough compaction of the entire volume of concrete being placed. The vibrators shall be applied systematically at such intervals and for such periods that dense, compact, homogeneous concrete is produced

39、and segregation and voids do not occur.? Casting of any of superstructure member with their full design depth shall be done in one operation.? Delay between two successive layers must be minimize in order to avoid any cold joint and the next successive layer shall be placed with in initial setting t
