4、EMENT meetings at Hotel, AGM and DOO levelThe Risk Management Action PlanThe RISK MANAGEMENT Action Plan is an Excel Workbook designed to house all the RISK MANAGEMENT issues in your hotel. It is a working document and is used by the RISK MANAGEMENT committee monthly when they review :-n New issues
5、being added to the plann Progress on completion of action points n Completed action points It is also used by the Regional team to n Ensure RISK MANAGEMENT issues are being addressed (RISK MANAGEMENT Calendar points)n Track progress on completion of Itemsn Identify common themesn Identify common tra
6、ining needsn Ensure funds are budgeted to address emerging risksThe RISK MANAGEMENT action Plan will :-n Have unique identification numbers allocated to each issue / riskn Have all RISK MANAGEMENT issues / risks the hotel faces listedn Have issues / risks correctly ratedn Have issues correctly dated
7、n Have issues correctly categorised by risk typen Have deadlines set which reflect the risk ratingn Have named individuals allocated for each actionn Ensure that the Planned Actions adequately address the issues / risksn Assist in ensuring all Departments take responsibility for their issuesn Ensure

9、esentatives?Customising your Action Plan by using basic excel commandsAbout filteringFiltering is a quick and easy way to find and work with a subset of data in a list. A filtered list displays only the rows that meet the criteria you specify for a column. Microsoft Excel provides two commands for f
10、iltering lists: 1 AutoFilter, which includes filter by selection, for simple criteria 2 Advanced Filter, for more complex criteria For our RISK MANAGEMENT Action Plan we will only use the Auto Filter option See fig 1Unlike sorting, filtering does not rearrange a list. Filtering temporarily hides row
11、s you do not want displayed. See fig 2When Excel filters rows, you can edit, format, chart, and print your list subset without rearranging or moving it.Auto Filter Fig 1Fig 2 Below we can see we have selected columnG areas in the hotel from the drop down box we have chosen Public Areas, now Excel hi
12、des all other rows and only shows us the Public Area information. This can be repeated by all the areas in the Hotel, so each department head can receive his or her own list of action points. You can filter one column heading from each column. For example you could choose to see only Capex issues in
13、 the Kitchen or only items with a risk rating of 6 etc.To return to the full list simply go to data, filter, and auto filter switching the filter command off. You can see if the auto filter command is on by a tick to the left of the words Auto Filter in the pick box. If there is no tick the command
14、is switched off.About headers and footersHeaders and footers are areas in the top and bottom margins of each page in a document. You can insert text or graphics in headers and footers for example, page numbers, the date, a company logo, the documents title or file name, or the authors name that are
15、printed at the top or bottom of each page in a document.You can work in the header and footer areas by clicking Header and Footer on the View menu. See Fig 3Fig 3About Print area1 On the View menu, click Page Break Preview. 2 Select the area you want to print. 3 On the File menu, point to Print Area
16、, and then click Set Print Area. See Fig 4When you save the document, your print area selection is also saved. Fig 4About moving and copying dataWhen you copy a cell by dragging or by clicking Cut or Copy, and Paste, Microsoft Excel copies the entire cell, including formulas and their resulting valu
17、es, comments, and cell formats.There are no hidden cells in the RISK MANAGEMENT action plan. However, if the selected copy area includes hidden cells, Excel also copies the hidden cells. If the paste area contains hidden rows or columns, you might need to unhide the paste area to see all of the copied cells.Once an action point has been completed youCut the entire row from the Action Plan sheet to the completed actions
