15、 is strictly forbidden.12Air-Oil Circuit - 1In the air-oil circuit oil is pumped into the groove on the atmospheric side of the shaft sealing ring. The supply pressure at the ring is 0.5 bar above the hydrogen pressure in the generator.This circuit provides the sealing function, i.e. it serves to co

16、ntain the internal hydrogen pressure at the seal. In view of the importance of maintaining pumping power in this circuit, the main a.c. motor driven pump (1) is backed-up by a second a.c. and a d.c. motor driven pump. The cooler (2) and the filter (3) have both 100% redundancy. The air-oil tank (4)

17、provides the reservoir for the air-oil circuit. Oil is drawn from this tank by the service air-oil pump and pumped to the the seal oil unit and then to the air-side DE and NDE sealing rings via the air-oil cooler and filter.ALSTOM (Switzerland)Ltd 2001Preliminary/for discussion purposes only. 19、ressure at all times and in all types of operation. This task is performed by the differential pressure controller (11), which leads the oil surplus back to the air-oil tank (4).Since the vacuum-oil pressure is set 0.3 bar higher than the air-oil pressure, the air-oil flows into the un-pressurised a

20、ir-side drain chambers and from there back to the air-oil tank.The oil vapour in air-oil tank is expelled by the exhaust blower (fan) (9). 23、tly forbidden.15Vacuum-Oil CircuitThe oil required for degasification is taken from the air-oil line downstream of the filter and taken to the vacuum tank (7) via the level control valve.All entrained gases are separated out of the oil by the vacuum pump (10) on the vacuum tank.The optimum vacuum-oi

24、l pressure can be adjusted by the vacuum pressure regulator (12).The evacuated oil is pumped between the two DE and NDE air-side and gas side sealing rings (middle groove) by the vacuum oil pump (8). The oil pressure in the vacuum oil circuit is set at the pressure regulations valve (12) and so that

25、 vacuum-oil pressure is always 0.3 bar higher than the air-oil pressure.As the H2 pressure is regulated to the same value, the vacuum-oil flows across the pressure drop to the air-oil and returns to the air-oil tankALSTOM (Switzerland)Ltd 2001Preliminary/for discussion purposes only. 27、 coolers (6). The oil level at the pump inlets is maintained constant by the two oil column controllers (e), which ensures that the H2-oil pressure is always adjusted to the vacuum-oil pressure at the shaft.Due to the pressure drop to the gas side of the generator, the H2-oil flows into the gas-side drain chambers and back to the H2-oil pumps.
