1、Good afternoon!Today I am very glad to be here for final!So I hope I can make a good performance today!The topic for my impromptu speech is.1) Which is more important for you: knowledge from books or personal experience?In my opinion, both are important. On the one hand, I do learn a lot from books:

2、 l know the World Geography, History of China, logic of Aristotle, fable of Aesop, Famous novel known to people around the world, and so on. Those knowledge from books can take my eyes to travel and let me have a wide understanding for my life in the world. Usually, we can use the knowledge from boo

3、k to handle something we meet first. For example, how to find the right direction when we in a Strange environment. Due to the short life, we dont have enough time to try everything , so we need more knowledge from book to help us to solve those problems and enrich my life. On the other hand, during

4、 the past years I worked after graduation, I realize that personal experience through practice means also important to me. As we are in this global information age where both economic growth and individual opportunity are bass on ideas, a commitment to providing all human beings the golden opportuni

5、ty to develop themselves is so vital, not to the people here, but all around, As we are in this transformational age where communications and commerce are global, investments are mobile, technology is almost magical, and the ambition for a better life is now universal, and I think those mention

6、ed above due to the personal experience developing. We need to get more personal experience to share with others and then to change our lives. In short, both knowledge from book and personal experience all can help me to develop better and make the world a better place to live , Thank you very much.

7、2) Has the Internet narrowed or increased the distance between people?As to me , the answer to this question based on different situations. On the one hand, Now, there is a common sense, we live in a global information age-internet time. Before the internet time, the ways to contact between people h

8、ave been by letter or telephone. If the urgent things happened, it is difficult to obtain timely contact. But, Even since the internet have been found, we can chat online with those friends who live far away, we also can send or receive email on time, we can solve some urgent things timely. So, base

9、d on this view, the internet has narrowed the distance between people. On the other hand, the emergence of the network makes the affection between people become weak. Those people who like internet become do not willing to contact with the outside world. Friends rarely meet for a chat, more like to

10、talk online. People regards is through some chat software. This is hard to feel the emotion between peoples. I hope that the internet can help people solve more problems and shorten the distance between people. Thanks very much!3) Do you think big cities need more public transport instead of more pr

11、ivate cars?As we know, Hundreds of people rush into cities, especially big cities. They come for better education and better jobs, for commerce and trade, for information about the latest developments in science and for better medical care. I enjoy living in a big city where life is convenient. Fast

12、 public transport, a wide variety of goods to choose , all the latest modern conveniences, plenty of public places for enjoyment, and above all, the perfect health care system make you live in great comfort. However, big cities are confronted with many problems, the biggest of all being the ever-inc

13、reasing population flow toward the city, which results in crowded stinking buses, traffic jams, traffic accidents, poor housing conditions, and so on . Noise and pollution, mostly from factories and cars, are two more serious problems, which damage peoples health. So, I think big cities need more pu

14、blic transport instead of more private cars. Firstly, the public transport are more convenient and quick then private cars. In big cities, as to the private car , the most difficult problem to solve is the parking. And, The traffic problem is becoming more and more serious. Secondly, a growing numbe

15、r of private cars will bring the problem of environmental pollution, but now the public traffic is more environmentally friendly. 16、on. I think love makes the life worthwhile. Since we were born, our parents love us very much. They teach us to eat, speak and walk. They provide a good living environment and learning environment for us. They invest all their things to let us healthy growth. They also teach us to love others. When

17、we become members of groups, such as football team, class, and company, we love our members and cooperate to make the group outstanding. When we grow up, we will meet our sweetheart and fall in love with them. We get married and have babies. We love the babies and do what our parents have done to us

18、. We use love to treat our parents and every person around us. The love recyle forever. That's the greatest power to encourage us to face the ups and downs in our life. In short, Love make my life worthwhile.5) Your ideas about smoking in public placesAs we know, smoking is harmful not only to o

19、ur health but also to environment. Whats more , smoking also can lead to many diseases, such as lung cancer. An increasing number of experts believe that smoking affects non smokers more than it does smokers. According to a recent survey that ratio of passive smokers getting ill is higher than that

20、of smokers. So nonsmokers are violently against smoking. In public places, the harm of smoking is greater. It pollutes environment. Therefore, we believe that the government should ban smoking in the public places, and it is very necessary and important to us. It is a good measure to protect our hea

21、lth and environment. However, some people say that it takes away their freedom. But I think it is a one-side view. If one wants to smoke, he may smoke in private, not in public places. In fact, smokers still have the freedom of smoking. But in my opinion, smokers had better give up smoking, not only

22、 in private places, but also in the public places, everywhere. It will be beneficial to all of us. In a word, smoking in the public places is harm to the health of smokers and environment. So I think smoking should be banned in public places.6) How to build trust between people?Trust is a major part

23、 in the foundation of interpersonal relationships, whether it is between parents and children, friends, or lovers. It is just as easy to build trust as it is to break it down on a daily basis. If your interpersonal relationships are plagued by that deadly element called "suspicion,and fear &quo

24、t; then you might find success if you put effort toward trust-building. Trust is heart warming, a great attribute often abused and broken by many. We learn to trust, as we learn to love. If trust comes by so easily, it is also lost and destroyed by a single moment of breaking and in a fraction of a

25、second, all hope and security can be lost. Possibly the most important step to building a foundation of trust is to do what you say you will do. At least try doing it. Even if it is a small thing, canceling or failing to follow through will create hairline fractures in your trustworthiness. Enough of those, and the foundation will crumble. Never lie. Sounds easy, right? Not always. It's surprisingly simple to find yourself saying a little white lie to protect your friend, lover, or even your parents. But if you tell the truth even when th
