1、Lesson Plan of Unit 5Nelson Mandela - a modern hero(第4课时)一、教材内容分析覆盖内容: Using language(Listening & Reading and discussing)教材分析:本单元的中心话题是当代英雄纳尔逊曼德拉,阅读、听力等所选材 料通过黑人工人伊莱亚斯的叙诉,主要介绍了纳尔逊曼德拉的生平事迹,语言知 识和语言技能等都是围绕这一中心话题展开的。本课时教学内容是听力与阅读教学 相结合。在听力短文中,伊莱亚斯讲述了他为了争取与白人平等的权利而参加了曼 德拉的非洲国民大会青年联盟。在阅读短文中,伊莱亚斯讲述了他在
2、罗本岛监狱服 刑期间得到曼德拉的帮助;在非国大掌权后,在曼德拉的安排下,伊莱亚斯又回到 罗本岛监狱担任解说,向游客介绍罗本岛的过去。二、教学目标Develop the studentslistening and reading skills.Enable the students to learn to express their own opinions and ideas.Get the students to learn about some great people and learn noble qualities.三、教学过程PartIListening(13 minuteSSte

14、ke on Robben Island? Where did you learn to read and write? Why did you become a tour guide? What do you think of your present job?Give the students several minutes to practice their interview. The teacher can walkaround the classroom and see whether the students need some help.
