Read the passage and complete the chart. “完成,结束”=finish eg.When will he complete the job? Adj.”完整的;完成的” 副词形式为completely “完全的;彻
11、底的” Eg. I have a complete set of Shakespeares plays Eg.I trust him completely.我完全信任他。6、look up 查找Look up 表示“查;查找”,强调在词典、参考书中或通过电脑查询。它是“动词+副词“”结构的短语,其宾语若为名词n,可以置于短语之后或短语中间;其宾语若为代词,则必须置于短语中间。Eg. If you want to look up the new words, please look them up in this dictionary.*归纳look的相关短语look for 寻找 look a
12、fter 照料;照顾 look like 看起来像 look out 向外看;当心look around 向周围看 look forward t盼望look over 检查;查看look through浏览7、make a mistake 犯错误 Mistake 可数名词,意为“错误;过错”,其构成的常用短语为make a mistake/make mistakes(in),表示“(在某方面)犯错误”。Eg. How can you make a mistake like that? 你怎么能犯那种错误呢? I often make mistakes in grammar. 我经常在语法方面犯
13、错误。*by mistake 表示“(由于疏忽)错误地;无意地”Eg. I took someones book by mistake in the reading room.8、who has some advice? 谁有建议啊?Advice不可数名词,意为“意见;建议”,做主语时,谓语动词用单数。Eg.There is some good advice about how to reduce air pollution on the Internet.一条建议:a piece of advice ; 一些建议:some advice*advice构成的常用搭配give sb some a
14、dvice on/about (在某方面)给某人一些建议ask for advice 征求意见take/follow ones advice 接受/遵循某人的建议Eg. I will give you a piece of advice on how to finish the work . Ok, I will take your advice.9、We should always speak English in class. 在课堂上我们应该总是说英语。Should 情态动词,意为“应该”,表示建议、责任或义务,无人称和时态的变化,后接动词原形,可用于否定句和疑问句中,其否定形式为sho
15、uldnt。Eg. All of us should save water. We shouldnt be late for school. Should he take Miss Whites advice?10、Lets try to speak English as much as possible. 让我们尽可能多说英语。try to do sth 尽力做某事 I tried to finish the work by myself. 我努力独自完成这项工作。辨析 try to do sth 与try doing sthTry to do sth指尽力、设法做某事,强调付出一定努力设法

The boy tried to study hard. 这个男孩设法刻苦学习。 The little duck tried crossing the river. 小鸭子试着过河。asas possible 表示“尽可能”,相当于asas one can do/could,其中,asas中间用形容词或副词的原级。Eg. You should eat vegetables as much as possible.你应该尽可能多吃蔬菜。I phoned him so that he would come as soon as
17、 possible/as soon as he could.我给他打了电话,让他尽快过来。11、Why not write down our mistakes in our notebooks? 为什么不把错误记在我们的笔记本上呢?”why not”表示“为什么不呢”,其后接动词原形,用于向对方提出建议或征求对方的意见,相当于“Why dont we/you?”Eg.Why not come a little earlier?=Why dont you come a little earlier? 你为什么不早点来呢?write down”写下;记下”,是由“动词+副词”构成的短语,其宾语若为
18、代词,只能放在短语中间。Eg. I like writing down news words on my notebook, instead of writing them down on the notebook.12、forget动词,意为”忘;忘记”,后面可接名词、代词、动词不定式或动词in形式作宾语,其反义词为 remember.Eg. Sorry, I forget your name. 抱歉,我忘记你的名字了。*【辦析】 forget to do sth.与 forget doing sth.forget to do sth.“忘记去做某事”,表示事情尚未发生forget doin
19、g sth.“忘记做过某事”,表示事情已经发生eg.-Oh,no! I forgot to close the window.哦,不!我忘记关窗户了。. Take it easy. You forget closing it just now. 别紧张。你忘了刚刚关过窗户了。*【拓展】 remember的用法remember to do sth.“记得去做某事”,表示事情尚未发生remember doing sth“记得做过某事”,表示事情已经发生eg. Please remember to turn off the lights before you leave the room离开房间前请
20、记得关灯。eg.I remember turning off the lights.我记得关上灯了。13、What else?还有吗?else副词,意为“其他的;另外的”。常用在不定代词或疑间词之后。Eg.Is anyone else coming to the party?还有其他人来参加聚会吗?*【辨析】else与 otherelse副词,用于不定代词或疑问词之后other形容词,修饰名词,用于名词之前eg.Who else do you know in our class?我们班你还认识谁?eg. You can touch something else with the other h
21、and. 你可以用另一只手触摸其他物体。14、It's a good idea to spell and pronounce new words aloud every day.每天大声拼读生词是一个好主意。 (1) It s a good idea to do sth.表示“做某事是一个好主意”.其结构为it+be+名词+ to do sth.”,其中it作形式主语,后面的动词不定式短语是真正的主语。Eg.Its a good habit to keep a diary.坚持记目记是一个好习惯(2)pronunciation动词,意为“发的音”,其名词形式为pronunciation
22、,意为“发音”。Eg.I can t pronounce the word "pronunciation”. 我不会发“ pronunciation”这个单词的音。(3) aloud副词,意为“大声地;出声地”。Eg.Jim read the letter aloud to his grandfather 吉姆把信大声念给他的爷爷听。*【辨析】 aloud,loud与 loudlyaloud副词,强调“出声”,让人听见,但声音并不一定很大。常与read、cry等动词连用,无比较等级loud形容词或副词,意为“大声的(地)”。作形容词时,常用在名词前作定语:作副词时,常与 speak,
23、talk、1augh等动词连用。有比较等级loudly副词,意为“响亮地大声地”,含有“喧闹”的意味,有比较等级Eg.The pain made her cry aloud.疼痛使她大声叫喊起来。Eg.There are many people talking loudly in the room. Speak louder,please.房间里有许多人在大声讨论,请大点儿声说。15. How about listening to the radio听广播怎么样? “ How about.?”相当于“ What about.?”,表示“怎么样?”,常用来提出建议或征求对方的意见。其中, abo
24、ut是介词,其后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式Eg.How/ What about a cup of coffee?来杯咖啡怎么样?Eg.I need a glass of cold drink. How/What about you? 我要一杯冷饮,你呢?Eg.How/ What about listening to some songs?听些歌怎么样?16、You don t need to understand every word.你们不必理解每个单词的意在本句中need作行为动词,意为“需要”,其后可接名词、代词或动词不定式作宾语。 need to do sth,表示“需要做某事”。
25、 dont need to do sth.相当于 dont have to do sth 表示“不必做某事”Eg. Amy needs to practise speaking Chinese.艾米需要练习说英语。Eg. We don't need/have to finish the work today. 我们不必今天就完成工作。17、I get to know a lot about the world through reading.通过阅读,我开始更多地了解世界get to know表示“(开始)认识(逐新)了解”,暗示一个较长的过程,含有“渐渐开始了解”之意。Eg, How
26、 did you get to know Liz?你是怎样认识莉兹的?Eg.I have known Jill for ten years.我认识吉尔十年了。18、I agree with you.我赞同你的提议。agree动词,意为“赞同;同意”,其反义词为 disagree“不同意”eg. Do you agree or not?你同意还是不同意?*【辨析】 agree with, agree to与 agree onagree with指赞成某人(的看法、意见或所说的话等),后常跟人或表示事物的名词、动名词或宾语从句agree to指同意某事,后常跟表示建议、计划、安排的词,其中,to是
27、介词agree on指在某事上达成一致意见Eg.I agree with you, but I don't agree to your plan until you and your parents agree on this thing.我赞同你的意见,但是在你和你父母还没有就这件事达成一致意见之前,我不同意你的计划。19、talk about 谈论20、have problems with 在(方面)有问题 eg. I have problem with the pronunciation. 我在发音方面有些问题。21、understand/Speak English 理解/ 说英
28、语22、ask for 请求(给予) ask for advice about 请求(给予)在方面的意见 ask for 另一常用搭配:ask sb for sth 请求某人给予某物 eg. Why not ask your teacher for help?23、how to improve their English 为 “疑问词+动词不定式(短语)”结构。另外常见的还有what to do. eg. I dont know what to do. 我不知道做什么?24、improve V.改进,改善 其名词形式为improvement。 eg. We all hope to improv
29、e our lives.25、several times 多次several 形容词(adj)几个,一些 后面加可数名词复数 eg. several bookstime 做不可数名词时,意为时间;做可数名词讲时,意为次,回。对次数提问用句型“How many times?” eg.-How many times have you visited Hong Kong? 你游览过香港多少次?- Three times. 三次26、each time 每一次 Each在此处做形容词,意为每;每个的;各自的; eg. each picture /each storybook/each student
30、总体来讲,each强调个体。可作形容词或代词,可单独作主语,谓语动词用单数也可用“ each of-+复数名词”作主语eg. Each student has a pocket dictionary. Each has a book. Each of us/students has a notebook. Each boy and girl has a book./ Each boy and each girl has a book. 与every区分。every强调整体,只能作形容词,与名词连用作主语时谓语动词用单数,不能与of连用。 eg. Every student has strong
31、 and weak points. Every one of us has strong and weak points.27、advise动词(v),意为“向提出意见;忠告;建议”,常用搭配为 advise sb (not) to do sth. 建议某人做某事;advise( doing)sth. 建议(做)某事 eg. Police are advising people to stay at home警方正告诚民众要待在家中 . Eg. My friend advised me not to go out in the evening. Eg.The teacher adviced s
