23、 or in the same currencies but not in the same proportions as the payment split, then need either a provision that allows for adjustment upon changes in exchange rates between the currencies or the contractor needs to consider hedging.29Shourav Lahiri/肖瑞夫nSuspensionusome countries laws may allow the

24、 contractor a statutory right to suspend performance of the work for non-payment of interim certificates, even though there is no contractual provision allowing it. uJust ensure there is no contractual provision expressly removing the contractors right to so suspend if the contract is silent on this
