Ask the students to think about the difficulties they meet in reading and how to solve the difficulties in reading. T: Good morning, boys and girls. How is your study going? Whats
5、the meaning of the saying? Do you like reading books? What problems do we usually meet when we read books?Ss:.T: In this lovely morning, we will learn how to solve the problems we meet in reading. Step 2 Dealing with the text(1) New words and phrases.1) Ask the students to read the words and t
6、ry to remember them in 2 minutes. Then check it . T:“Are you ready? Then give
8、 a summary of the first reading skill :“We can predict the content of the passage from the pictures and the titles.”(3) Fast reading1) Let the students read the passage as quickly as they can and answer the following questions. Q1: Why did he want to give up studies?Q2: Who helps him? Q3: What does
9、the teacher often do to help her students and families?2) Ask the students to think about how to read the passage quickly. Then give the second reading tip to the students: Read the passage silently and read it sentence by sentence. (4) Careful readingRead the text carefully and do task-based readin
