判断题常见的形式一般为“TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN”, 还有一种形式为“YES/NO/NOT GIVEN ”,不过不常见。

In the United States and Canada, murder rates doubled 10 to 15 years afterthe introduction of television, after the first TV generation grew up.题目:There were more murders in Canada after people began watching TV.分析p :double 是more 的详细表达,after people began watch

、ing TV 与after introduction of television为同义交换2. A mon glacier flows about 10 inches per day in the summer and 5 inches per day in the winter.题目:Glaciers normally move at a rate of about 5 to 10 inches a day. A species bees extinct when the last in

、dividual dies.题目:A species is said to be extinct when the last individual exists. 2. 原文是多个并列(both, and, or, also),而题目中是必须或者只有(must, only)原文:Virtually all of 3500 research studies on the subject in the past 40 years have shown the same relationship.题目:Only one study has

、 found a connection between TV and violent behavior. The professor feels/guesses that H7N9 can transmit from people to people.题目:The professor proves that H7N9 can transmit among t

、he people. 三、NOT GIVEN的判断技巧1. In the United States and Canada, murder rates doubled 10 to 15 years after the introduction of television, after the first TV generation grew up.题目:The United States has more violence on TV than other countries.

Center wall tested this pattern in South Africa, where television broadcasts were banned until 1975.题目:TV was introduced in South Africa in the 1940s.3. Public colleges cost less than private colleges

、.原文:a full-time student at a public four-year college pays an average of 8,655 for in-state tuition, room and board. A full-time student in a public two-year college pays an average of 1,359 per year in tuition.

Food agency takes on industry over junk labelsFelicity LawrenceThe Guardianas the Food Standards Agency goes public in its battle with the industry over the labelling of unhealthy foods.2.The Guardian has learned that the FSA will l
