The four-year war almost destroyed the United States. Uncle Toms Cabin contributed to the outbreak of the war by personaliz

27、sinesses that continued to trade with Southern cotton suppliers, and was impatient with President Lincolns willingness to put off freeing people held in slavery.Uncle Toms Cabin made Stowe an international celebrity.
