、roup is such an expert, having been audited and approved by a European Competent Body (Assessment Services of the UK) against all aspects of EN 45001 and ISO Guide 25. The relationship between us and our Competent Body benefits you, the client, in following ways: For issues that are not explicitly d

、etailed in the standards, EMC Compliance is your direct link to a European Authority. We are in constant contact with our Competent Body in the UK and can clear up all ambiguities within one day via fax or e-mail. Test Plans that we prepare on your behalf can be approved by our Competent Body within

、 a few days. Although this step is not mandated by law, the process adds more confidence to the testing programs we carefully craft for you. Any and all rule changes or new standard updates are immediately detailed to us by our Competent Body. Thus, when you use our services, you are confident that

、your products will have a shelf life beyond the next transition provisions! -FCC (America) Your Class B Declarations of Conformity (DoCs) for Information Technology Equipment (ITE) can be issued immediately provided you locate a qualified laboratory which has undergone a rigorous auditing process by

、 the Department of Commerce under their National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). No more 45 day waits to obtain a Grant of Equipment Authorization from the FCC. EMC Compliance has completed such an audit and received NVLAP accreditation in December 1996. We now offer accredited F

、CC Part 15 DoC testing and approvals with the following features and benefits: Once we help you pass the tests, well provide you with the new label format that replaces the old certification labels. Its even available on disk! We will prepare your Declarations of Conformity for you to contain all in

、formation required by the new law. Our expert Engineers and Program Managers will disclose all aspects of the new law and help you make sure that your marketing of DoC approved devices is done properly! -VCCI (Japan) The Voluntary Control Council for Interference (VCCI) is concerned with the sale of

、 ITE in Japan and attempts to minimize Electromagnetic Interference in the country by encouraging testing to internationally harmonized EMI standards (CISPR 22). Although the program is Voluntary, you can bet that your marketing efforts will be met with much resistance without VCCI Approval. The app

、roval process is quite simple and is only a matter of registering details of your passing product with the VCCI. There is one catch however. First, to have your products accepted, your company must become a member of the VCCI. Once that is complete you then must test at an EMC Laboratory which has a

、lready been registered with and approved by the VCCI for both Radiated and Conducted Emissions testing. Registering a test lab is extremely detailed and time consuming, since the VCCI demands site attenuation data and procedures which differ from internationally recognized practices. The whole proce

、ss can take between 6-9 months to complete! So if the lab you are currently using has said that their VCCI registration is in process, you could be in for a much longer wait than your products life cycle! EMC Compliance Management Group has been registered with the VCCI since November of 1996. Hirin

、g us as your EMC lab of choice for VCCI approvals has the following advantages: If your company is not already a member, well guide you through the process by providing all necessary forms and helping you to complete them accurately. Well submit all Conformity Verification Reports to the VCCI on you

、r behalf for products that have been tested by us and found to comply. Since we have such a good working relationship with the VCCI, these reports come back to us with stamps of approval within about one week! Well alert you to the many transition provisions most recently released by the VCCI as the

、y completely harmonize their standards to CISPR 22 by the year . As each transition provision is met, we will automatically adjust our test program for you so that you continue to comply. -BSMI (Taiwan) The Bureau of Standards, Metrology & Inspection (BSMI), formerly Bureau of Commodity Inspection a

、nd Quarantine (BCIQ), is slowly phasing in EMC requirements for products being sold or imported into the Republic of China on Taiwan. Information Technology Equipment will be the first product category impacted with a current mandatory date of 1 January 1998. After this date, new shipments of ITE Eq

、uipment must be BSMI type-approved according to the following sequence of events: First, manufacturers or importers must obtain and EMC type test from a BSMI accredited test laboratory. Next, they must send two copies of an EMI (Immunity is not yet regulated) test report along with several pieces of

、 additional documentation to the BSMI for issuance of the type certificate. All documentation submitted including the test reports MUST BE IN CHINESE. Hiring EMC Compliance Management Group as your BSMI lab of choice has the following advantages: EMC Compliance is one of the few DOMESTIC BSMI accred

All EMI test reports submitted by EMC Compliance will be in Chinese and our language experts can even help you with the translation of other pertinent documents which must be submitted. -C-tick Mark (Austra

、lian & New Zealand) Through the Spectrum Management Agency (SMA) Australia has introduced the Electromagnetic Compatibility Framework. As of January 1997, all ITE products must meet the Australian emissions standard AS/NZS 3548. Furthermore, in order for test data to be accepted by the SMA, one must

、 test at an EMC Laboratory which has been recognized by the SMA either directly or through a Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). Since the SMA recognizes laboratories that are NVLAP accredited, make sure that the lab you are using has AUS/NZ 3548 as part of its NVLAP scope of accreditation. EMC Co

、mpliance Management Group is NVLAP approved and has AUS/NZ 3548 as part of its scope of accreditation. As such, not only can we assist you in your Australian test program, but we also provide the following services as a side benefit: EMC Compliance will help you to create your Compliance Folder to c

、ontain all elements required by the SMA on a per product basis. Reports generated by EMC Compliance are in the correct certified format for quick acceptance by the SMA when you apply for the C-Tick mark(s). We will automatically harmonize your EMI test program to include a single sweep that brings y
