新《课程标准》强调：“激发和培养学生学习兴趣，帮助学生树立学英语自信心，养成良好习惯和形成有效学习策略，发展学生自主学习能力和合作能力。”写作能力是认识能力、思索能力和文字利用能力综合反应二、当前初中英语写作教学存在两个问题1、学生方面：

----对英语写作有畏惧心理----以汉语思维造词句和谋篇布局，缺乏连贯性，语法错误多----不重视教师批改2、教师方面

----对英语写作不太重视，指导时间少----训练方法不妥

----批改学生作文时只重视语言准确性三、初中英语写作教学策略1.训练指导得法要从学生“学”角度来设计教学活动2.批改方法可多样化----批改要以内容为重点，以结构为支撑1）教师包办传统批改方式3）学生相互批改方式2）堂上面批4）“群批”（即多人批改同一篇作文）5）“抽批”就是把学生分成几个小组，从每组中选取几份有代表性作文进行批改。
