Itisverydifficultforpeopletounderstandoneanotheriftheydonotsharethesameexperiences.Ofcourse,weallsharetheexperienceofbeinghuman,buttherearemanyexperienceswhichwedonotshareandwhicharedifferentforallofus.Itisthesedifferentexperiencesthatmakeupwhatiscalled“culture”inthesocialsciences-

Today,theterm“GlobalVillage”ismostlyusedasametaphortodescribetheInternetandWorldWideWeb.OntheInternet,physicaldistanceisevenlessofahindrancetothereal-timecommunicativeactivitiesofpeople,andthereforesocialspheresaregreatlyexpandedbytheopennessoftheweb4444andtheeaseatwhichpeoplecansearchforonlinecommunitiesandinteractwithothersthatsharethesameinterestsandconcerns.Therefore,thistechnologyfosterstheideaofaconglomerateyetunifiedglobalcommunity.Duetotheenhancedspeedofcommunicationonlineandtheabilityofpeopletoreadabout,spreadandreacttoglobalnewsveryrapidly,45andtheeaseatwhichpeoplMcLuhansaysthisforcesustobecomemoreinvolvedwithoneanotherfromcountriesaroundtheworldandbemoreawareofourglobalresponsibilities.Similarly,web-connectedcomputersenablepeopletolinktheirwebsitestogether.Thisnewrealityhasimplicationsforformingnewsociologicalstructureswithinthecontextofculture.46McLuhansaysthisforcesus
