isthoughtofas…显然是被动结构。同学们在预习课文并划词组时要练习识别这类词组。think是不规则动词，其原形、过去式、过去分词变化如下：think—

thought—thought。

executive本意为“总经理；总裁”，在本句中引伸译为“老板”。后面省略了isoftenthoughtof。有一句关于英语的谚语说“简洁是英语的精华”“BrevityisthesoulofEnglish”.
