1TheriseofthenationalistmovementinMalawiMawlawi'snationalistmovementdatesbacktotheendofthenineteenthCentury.Themostfamousisthe1915J.Chirenboueuprising.TheoutbreakofthefirstWorldWar,manypeoplewereforcedintonyasaland.Butthecolonialgovernmentagainstthefamilyofthedeceasedrefusedtograntpension.ChilembweleadershipAfricanspetitionofprotest.InJanuary191523organizedmassattackwhitemanor,seizethearmory.Soon,theuprisingtroopswassuppressed.Chirenbouedied.2IndependentMalawiBandaledtheMalawiCongressPartyadvocatedbyalegalstruggleandNonViolenceforcedtheBritishcolonialauthorities.InMay1961firstgeneralelectionsNyasalandMalawiCongresspartywins,Banda,astheBritishcolonialgovernmentminister.InFebruary1963,Nyasalandwasgrantedinternalself-government,theprimeministerBanda.In196312monthsofnonfederaldisintegration.NyasalandgainedindependenceinJuly6,1964,renamedtheRepublicofMalawi,stillremainintheCommonwealth,Bandabecamethepresident.1971presidentofthetenureofoffice.AftertheindependenceofMawlawi,theforeignpolicyoffreedomtochooseallianceandneutrality.3

Economics

Mawlawiasanagriculturalcountry,morethan90%ofthepopulationengagedinagriculture,theeconomyisverybackward,istheUnitedNationstodeterminetheleastdevelopedcountries,economicdevelopmentdependsheavilyonforeignaid.Themaincultivationoftobacco,cotton,corn,etc.,isoneofAfrica'smajortobaccoproducingcountries,tobaccoexportsaccountedfor70%ofthecountry'sforeignexchangeearnings.Itswhiteribtobaccoquality,reputationintheworldoftobaccoindustry.4Malawimoney---MWK5Sincethelastcenturyinthemid-1990s,theMacedoniangovernmentimplementationofprivatizationandanti-povertyprograms,butbecauseofthecorruptionofthebureaucracyiswesternfreezeaid,economicdevelopmentisblocked.6Since2005,theimplementationofthe"growthanddevelopmentstrategy"hasbeensupportedbytheinternationalmonetaryfund.Duetothegovernmenttoincreaseagriculturalinvestment,expandtheimplementationofagriculturalsubsidyprogram,thehorsehas6consecutiveyearstoachieveself-sufficiency,economicgrowthratefor6consecutiveyears,morethan7%.7Thefirsthalfof2011,Malaysiaforeignexchangeandfuelshortagecausedbythepubliccrisis,andnationaldemonstrationsandriots.InApril2012,Bandabeca
