es—and,second,employmentinskilledorsemiskilled半熟练的occupations,notunskilledonesAlthoughunemploymenthitsalllevelsoftheAmericaneconomyincludingthoseofskilledandsemi-skilledworkers,itismostcommonatthebottomoftheclassstructureandincreasinglylesscommonateachlevelupward.Theyconsiderthemselvestoberespectableandhardworkingandtheylookdownuponmembersofthe“lower”class,whomtheyoftenconsidertobelazy,dishonest,andtooreadytoexploitpublicassistance.Mostpeopleintheworkingclasshaveatleasthighschooleducation.Manyhavesomeexperienceofcollege(especiallycommunitycollege),thoughfewarecollegegraduates.Unionizationhashelpedtheworkingclass,butarapidlychangingeconomyandfrequentperiodsofhighunemploymentmakeitdifficultformostofitsmemberstobeabletoincreasetheirsavingsgreatly.Purchasingahouseforpeopleinthisclassisextremelydifficult,althoughacertainpercentagemayreceivehousesfromtheirparents.(Home-owningriseswithsocialclass.)Agreaternumberofthemembersoftheworkingclasstakerelativelylittlesatisfactionintheirjobs,becausemuchoftheirworkisordinaryandboring.Asaresult,manyseektheirmainsatisfactioninrecreational(的)activities.Manymembersofthisclasswouldliketoearnenoughmoneytoleavetheirjobsandstarttheirownbusinesses,thoughfewmakeit.Manyplacetheirexpectationsontheirchildren,hothattheyatleastwillriseintheladderofsuccess,Americanstyle.WhichofthefollowingistrueabouttheworkingTheyareoftenemployedasskilledandsemi-skilledTheyareoftenofferedjobswith
