Abstract:Multiphaseflow,heattransfersolidificationandinclusionmovementareimportantfactorsaffectingthequalityofthecontinuouscastingprocess.Basedonnumericalsimulationandexperimentalresearchmethods,thispaperanalyzesthecharacteristics,mechanismsandmodelsofmultiphaseflow,heattransfersolidificationandinclusionmovementinthecontinuouscastingprocessindetail.Forthesimulationofmultiphaseflow,thispaperadoptstheEuler-Lagrangecouplingmodel,establishesathree-dimensionalmultiphaseflowmodel,simulatesthegas-liquidtwo-phaseflowinthecontinuouscastingprocess,andanalyzesthemovementrulesofparticles,dropletsandbubbles.Fortheheattransfersolidificationprocess,theheattransfersolidificationmodelisadopted,andtheinfluenceofsolid-liquidphasechangeisconsidered.Thetemperaturefieldandsolidificationstructureofthecontinuouscastingprocessaresimulated,andtheevolutionofthesolidificationstructuremorphologyisanalyzed.Forthemovementofinclusions,theequilibriumphasediagrammethodandkinematicmodelareadoptedtostudytheformation,distributionandmigrationofinclusionsinthecontinuouscastingprocess,andtheinfluenceofinclusionsonthequalityofthecastslabisanalyzed.Bycomparingthesimulationandexperimentalresults,thereliabilityandaccuracyofthemodelisverified,providingtheoreticalbasisforoptimizingthecontinuouscastingprocess.

Inconclusion,theinclusionbehaviorinthecontinuouscastingprocessisacomplexandmultifacetedphenomenonthatrequiresacomprehensiveapproachtounderstandandoptimize.Byconsideringfactorssuchascastingspeed,molddesign,rawmaterials,andcastingenvironment,itispossibletominimizetheformationandmigrationofinclusionsandensuretheproductionofhigh-qualitycastslabsAnotherimportantfactorinminimizinginclusionformationincontinuouscastingistheuseofappropriatesecondarysteelmakingpractices.Duringsecondarysteelmaking,impuritiesandnon-metallicinclusionscanberemovedorreducedusingvarioustechniquessuchasladlerefining,vacuumdegassing,anddesulfurization.Bydecreasingtheamountofimpuritiesinthemoltensteel,theriskofinclusionformationduringcastingcanbeminimized.

Furthermore,propermaintenanceandmonitoringofthecastingequipmentcanalsohelppreventinclusionformation.Regularinspectionandcleaningofthemold,spraycoolingsystem,andnozzlecanpreventthebuildupofscaleandothercontaminantsthatcancontributetoinclusionformation.Additionally,monitoringthequalityofthecoolingwaterandusingappropriatefilterscanpreventtheintroductionofforeignmaterialsintothecastingprocess.

Advancedtechnologiessuchaselectromagneticstirringandultrasonicvibrationcanalsobeusedtoreduceinclusionsduringcontinuouscasting.Electromagneticstirringcanhelpdisperseinclusionsandimprovethehomogeneityofthecaststeel,whileultrasonicvibrationcanbreakupandremovesmallinclusionsfromtheliquidsteel.
