Macrosimulationandmicrosimulationmodels(MSM)arealternativewaysofrealisingtheprocesses(vanImhoffandPost,1998)WeuseaspatialMSMofthepopulationanditsdynamics,butthestructureparallelsthemacromulti-statecohort-component(MSCC)projectionmodelAnMSMdependsongooddataontheimportanttransitionsexperiencedbyindividualsWeexperimentedwithanAgentBasedModel(ABM)forasub-population,students,whereempiricaldataonmigrationhasoftenprovedproblematicWhatdoesthatmean?ScaleLeedspopulation:760,000Eachindividualhasabout60individualvariables+ 20householdvariables+areavariablesVariousprobabilities/rateseg:localisedsingleyearofagebasedmortalityprobabilities
