Afterourmeetingended,wesplitupintothreegroupsandwenttodifferentschools,spendingmostofthedayhandingouttoothbrushesandschoolsupplies,meetingwiththechildren,andplayinggameswithvariousclasses.Itwasreallyinterestingtoseetheschoolsandtoseewhatallofthedifferentclasseswerelearning.

Wegotbacktoourhost’shousethatnightliterallysecondsbeforetheskiesopenedupoverSenase,andsincethepowerwasout,Fred,Cari(myroommate)andIsatoutundertherooflisteningtothepouringrainandtalkingaboutourlives.WewereabletohearFred’sstory,whichwasabsolutelyincredible.IcansayitgavemeanewsenseofrespectfortheGhanaianpeople,theirunityinthefaceoftremendoushardship,andtheimmenseamountofcareandlovetheyholdintheirhearts,notonlyfortheirfamiliesbuttheirentirecommunity.

Thenextdayweperformedourdanceforoneoftheschools,tothedelight(andlaughter)ofthechildren,queenmother,andprincipal.Afterthatwewereonthebusheadingback.
