Whentouse

Themodularframetechnique,usingtheMediumExternalFixator,canbeemployedforthefixationofdiaphyseallongbonefractureswithsofttissueinjury(closedoropen).

Theuseofinterconnectedmodulesallowsoptimizationofthepincementaccordingtothefracturepattern.

Relevantanatomy

Theframeillustratedonthepreviouspageisforthetibia:Schanzscrewsshouldbeinsertedinthesafezone1asillustrated.

SchanzscrewsshouldbecedintheAPneforumstability,asshownintheillustratedframe.Alternatively,theymaybe
