Allequipmentshallbedwithadequatemeansofprotectiontoensureitspreservationduringtransporttositeandanysubsequentstoragepriortoinstallation.Allvulnerablefinishedpartsliabletoscratchingorotherabrasionduringhandlingandinstallationshallbefurtherprotectedbyaremovablefilmappliedpriortodispatch.Equipmentselectedasastandarditemfromaparticularmanufacturer’srangehasbeenspecifiedwithatoperformance,optics,maintenance,quality,aesthetics,Shouldalternativeequipmentbeoffered,fulltechnicalandphotometricdatashallbesubmittedtoLightingDesignintimetoenableitsaccurateassessment.Ifanyvariantsofstandardluminairesarerequired,theseshallbedevelopedbythemanufacturedtothesamestandardsastheequivalentstandardIfspecified,twocopiesofallworkingdrawingsofproposedvariantsdimensionedinmm,shallbedtoLightingDesignforapprovalpriortofabrication.mmNotwithstandingtheabove,themanufacturershallremainresponsibleforensuringcompliancewithrelevantstandards,theaccuracyoftheinformationshownonhisdrawingsatalltimesandforensuringthattheequipmentshownfulfilstherequirementsofthisspecification.LightingDesigncannotacceptresponsibilityfortheinstallationofnon‐approved Thefinallocationofeachluminaireand,whererelevant,itsintegrationwiththearchitectureshallbeasdetailedontheconstructionissuedrawings.LightingDesigncannotacceptresponsibilityforluminairesinstalledinamannerotherthanindicatedintherelevantdrawingsorasotherwiseagreedandminuted.Acceptablemanufacturersarelistedinthefixturedescriptions.Acceptablemanufacturersshallbepreparedtoprovide,uponrequest,proofofsatisfactoryproductionofequalorsimilarfixturesforaperiodofatleastfiveyearspriortobidding.StatementofTheContractor,bycommencingtheWorkofthisSection,assumesoverallresponsibility,asapartofthewarrantyoftheWork,toassurethatassemblies,componentsandpartsshownorrequiredbytheWorkofthisSectioncomplywiththeContracts.ForaperiodofoneyearafterOwner'sinitialacceptanceandestablishmentofthebeginningdateofthewarrantyperiod,andatnoadditionalcost,theContractorshallpromptlyprovideandinstallrecementsforfixturesorcomponents(exceptforlamps)which,intheopinionoftheOwner,aredefectiveinmaterialsorworkmanshipundernormaloperatingconditions.IfapprovedtodosobytheOwner,theContractormayrepairinstalledequipmentatthejobsitetoOwner'ssatisfaction,providedthattheContractorrepairsanydamagetoadjacentWork.Foranytimeduringthewarrantyperiodthatfixturesarenotfullyfunctionalduetodefectsinmaterialsorworkmanship,theContractorshallprorpayforandinstallandremovesuitableandadequatetemporarylightingfixtures.TheContractoralsowarrantsrecementfixturesorcomponentstobeofdefectsinworkmanshipormaterialsforaperiodofoneyearfollowingrecement,andshallreceanydefectiverecementsduringtheirwarrantyperiod.
