—Oh,she'smyaunt.A.which B.who C.what高中知识衔接高中阶段,我们要学习一些新的连词以及短语,同时还要掌握一些意思相近的连词的区别。知识一:evenif,eventhoughevenif引导的从句往往是假设性的,相当于汉语的“即使”“纵然”“就算”“哪怕”。如:Formypart,Iplantogotothepartyevenifyoudecidenottogo.至于我,即使你决定不去参加晚会我也会去的。eventhough引导的从句内容往往是真实的,主要用于引出不利于主句情况的信息,相当于汉语的“尽管”“虽然”。如:Hewentouteventhoughitwasraining.尽管在下雨,他还是出去了。这样用的eventhough与though或although的意思比较接近,许多时候可以互换(注意:英语可以说though和eventhough,但不能说evenalthough)。如:Eventhough[Though.,Although]wealltriedourbest.welostthegame.虽然我们已尽了最大的努力,但还是输了。经典例题Theengineersaresobusythattheyhavezerotimeforoutdoorsportsactivities,theyhavetheinterest.A.wherever B.whenever C.evenif D.asif知识二:before和since引导时间状语从句的用法以及常见的几个句型1.before作为连词时的基本意义是“在……之前”,用于表示时间或顺序。还可表示“过了多久才…”,说明主句的持续时间比较长而从句的动作缓缓来迟。也可表示从句动作还没来得及发生或完成,主句动作就已经发生或完成了,意为“尚未……就”“没来得及……就”,常用于beforesb.can/could.。如:HerushedoutoftheroombeforeIcouldsayaword.我还没来得及说话,他就跑出了房间。“Itis…before.…”句型的is后可接long或一段时间。肯定句译为“过多久……才……”否定句译为“没多久……就…”。is可有各种时态变化或者可换为情态动词等。2.若since引导的状语从句的谓语动词是终止性动词(如go,come,leave,start,begin等)的过去时,则从句表示的时间是“从该动作开始的那一时刻起”。若since引导的状语从句的谓语动词是持续性动词或表示状态的静态动词(如live,stay,study,learn,smoke,be等)的过去时,则从句表示的时间是“从该动作或状态的完成或结束时算起”。如:试比较:Hehaslivedheresincehiswifewasill.自从他妻子病愈以来,他就住在这里。(从句谓语为状态动词)Hehaslivedheresincehiswifefellill.自从他妻子生病以来,他就住在这里。(从句谓语为终止性动词)Itis+段时间+since.…/Ithasbeen+段时间+since.…表示“自从……起已有多长时间了”。两句型意思相同。经典例题-Howlonghaveyoubeenstudyinginthisseniorhighschool?—Lessthantwoyearsandahalf.-Soitwillbehalfayearyougraduatefromthisschool.A.when B.after C.before D.since【引申】It'salreadytensofyearstheworld'spopulationreachedfivebillion.A.before B.after C.since D.that知识三:till和until的强调结构till和until的意思基本相同,用法也基本一样,但till不能用在句首,也不能用在not开头的短语或从句里,而until可以。在这种情况下应用倒装语序。下列两种强调结构,只能用until.,不能用till:(1)Notuntil+时间状语(从句)+主句的倒装句(2)Itis(was)notuntil+时间状语(从句)+that+主句ItwasnotuntilIsawMargaretnextmorningthatIfelthappy.直到第二天早晨见到玛格丽特我才感到高兴。Untilhecamehome,weknewthenews.在他到家之前,我们不知道这消息。Notuntilnineoclockyesterdayeveningdidwefinishthework.直到昨晚九点,我们才完成这项工作。经典例题Itisdifficultforustolearnalessoninlifewe'veactuallyhadthatlesson.A.until B.after C.since D.when知识四:“疑问词-ever”和“nomatter+疑问词”引导从句的用法二者作“……都……;不管……都……”讲,引导的让步状语从句可以互换。如:Whatever/Nomatterwhatyoumaysay,Ihavenoconcernwiththat.不管你说什么,我都和那件事无关。“nomatter+疑问词”结构只能引导让步状语从句,而“疑问词-ever”除了引导让步状语从句,还可以引导名词性从句。如:Whateveryouhaveismine.你的东西都是我的。(不能改成nomatterwhat)经典例题少Thelawyerseldomwearsanythingotherthanasuittheseason.A.whatever B.wherever C.whenever D.however【引申】1.hardyoutry,itisdifficulttoloseweightwithoutcuttingdowntheamountyoueat.A.However B.Whatever C.Whichever D.Whenever2.Toshowourrespect,weusuallyhavetotakeourglovesoffwearetoshakehandswith.A.whichever B.whenever C.whoever D.wherever知识五:where用法where引出的地点状语从句除表示地点外,还可以指处境等。如:Itisyourfaultthatsheiswheresheis.她落得现在这样的处境都是你的错。经典例题Bungeejumpingisasportapersonmakesaverticaljumpfromahighplatformwitharubbercordtiedtotheiranklessothattheybounce.A.which B.where C.what D.how【引申】You'dbetternotleavethemedicinekidscangetatit.A.evenif B.which C.where D.sothat思考总结连词是短文改错中常考的语法项目。它的考点在于:l.区别连词since的含义,since既有“自从”的意思,也有“因为”的意思;2.not…until的用法;3.一些连词的固定用法,如hardly.when,nosooner.…than;4.引导时间状语时,when,as,while的区别。随堂练习一.并列连词Ⅰ.单句填空1.Adversity(逆境)canbeatyoudown,italsohastheabilitytomakeyoustronger.
