Withanimpeccableacademicrecordandvirtuallyunprecedentedpublications,Ireceivedmanyawardsandhonors,includingtheOutstandingStudentHonorinOctober1992,theGuanghuaScholarshipin1994,andtheOutstandingStudentHonorin1996.Inrecognitionofmyachievements,theBusinessSchooloftheBeijingUniversityofferedin1996toacceptmeforgraduatestudieswithoutthenormallymandatoryexaminations,aprivilegethatisgrantedtoonlywhattheuniversityconsiderstheexceptionallygifted.

I,however,declinedtheofferbymyalmamater.Instead,IjoinedtheChineseDaChuan(Group)Company,oneoftheworld’sbiggestshippingcompanies,toworkwithitsPlanningFinancialDivisionatitsheadquartersinBeijing.IwantedtoapplywhatIhadlearnedbothinclassandoutsideofittoanalysisofrealbusinessoperationsbeforeIcommencedmygraduatestudies.

Thathassinceprovedtobetherightdecision.WorkingwiththeChineseDaChuanCompany,withits117branchesaroundtheworld,gavemeavantagepointfromwhichIeasilyandregularlyobserveallsortsoffinancialactivities,suchasthecapitalflow,theinvestment,themakingofaccountingstatements,thecostcontrol,andtheinnovationinaccountingcomputersystems.Thishasnotonlyenrichedmyknowledgeoffinanceandgivenmeclearperceptionintothecompanyitselfbutalsoprovidedmewiththenecessaryempiricaldataformoreadvancedstudiesingeneral.

WhilewiththeChineseDaChuanCompany,IsawfirsthandjusthowbigthedifferencesarebetweentheaccountingpracticesinChinaandthoseinthedevelopedworld.Tosummarizemyobservations,Ipublishedapapertitled“TheComparisonbetweenForeignAccountingInformationSystemandDomesticAccountingInformationSystem”intherespectedjournalofFinanceandAccountingforCommunications.Onthebasisoftheseobservations,IbegantoappreciateChina’scriticalneedtolearnthemoresophisticatedaccountingpracticesfromtheWest.Inaccountingasinsomanyotherareas,ChinamustbridgethegapwiththeWestifitistosurviveanddevelopinthedevelopintheevershrinkingglobalvillage.

瑞典留同学活〔阅历〕介绍

一、衣

在瑞典买衣服是很廉价的，质量而且还挺好的。瑞典常常下雨，所以这里的防水衣服一般都是卖的比较好的，在这里鞋子也要买防水的。瑞典的冬天一般不是很冷，由于在室内都会有暖气，那些很厚的毛衣是不用带的，帽子和手套肯定要带，室外的温度还是有点低的，厚实的外套也可以带两件，冬天出门也是很有必要的要穿厚实的外套的。你来瑞典学习，每个季节的衣服都要带上两件，虽然说瑞典的衣服是很廉价的，但是这里的天气多变，要带点衣服备用。假如你在国内有正装的话也带上，等到了正式的场合你就不用再临时去买了。

二、食

瑞典虽然还是有许多当地的美食，但是一部分的同学还是吃不习惯瑞典的食物，你可以带一点国内的酱料过来，瑞典的超市里面也有一部分国内的酱料买，假如你的行李不是许多的话，你可以带一个小一点的电饭煲，是能煮饭和炖汤的那种，就算是不喜爱吃这里的食物，也可以自己做饭吃。瑞典的商店营业时间一天很短，平常都是上午的十点开头营业始终到下午的三点结束，这对于同学和上班族来说一点也不友好，他们只能趁着课余时间去买东西。

三、住

在瑞典不同的学校他们的宿舍状况是不一样的，表达在价格和宿舍的规格上面，瑞典学校的宿舍也是要申请的，申请的早的话还能住到更廉价的宿舍。在学校的宿舍里面住上网也是免费的，不需要你再另外花钱交网络费。要是自己租房住房租要贵一点，你要是想要住的离学校近或者是交通便利的话，房租一般都是比较昂贵的。

四、行

你假如住在学校的宿舍一般都是直接走路就可以去到教室上课，要是你是在外面租的房子，上学你可以乘坐公共汽车，或者是骑自行车。你要是买一辆自行车是特别贵的，不过你可以买一辆二手的要廉价许多。
