A.RecommendedConditionsforReflowSoldering
Athermalconditionsystemsuchasinfraredradiation(IR)orhotblastshouldbeadopted,andvaporheattransfersystems(VPS)arenotrecommended.
Reflowsolderingshouldbeperformedonetime.Ifthecapacitorhastobereflowedtwice,30minutesmustbelayoutbetweeneachtime.
Forlead-freetypereflowsoldering,pleaseobserveproperconditionsbelow:
Thetimeofpreheatingfrom150°Cto200°Cshallbewithinmaximum180seconds;

GeneralInformationforApplication
Thefollowingprecautionsmustbeobservedwhenusingelectrolyticcapacitors.
CircuitDesign
Pleasemakesurethattheenvironmentalandmountingconditionstowhichthecapacitortobeexposedarewithintheconditionsspecifiedinthiscatalogue.
Operatingtemperatureandappliedripplemustbewithinthespecifications.
Appropriatecapacitors,whichcomplywiththeliferequirementoftheproducts,shouldbeselectedwhendesigningthecircuit.
Aluminumelectrolyticcapacitorsarepolarized.DonotapplyreservevoltageorACvoltage.Pleaseusenon-polarizedcapacitorsforacircuitthatcanpossiblyseereservedpolarity.
Note:Non-polarizescapacitorscannotbeusedforACvoltageapplication.
Donotusealuminumelectrolyticcapacitorsinacircuitthatrequiresrapidandveryfrequentchargeordischarge.Inthistypeofcircuit,itisnecessarytousespecialdesigncapacitorswithextendedlifecharacteristics.
Donotapplyexcessvoltage.
Pleasedpayattentionsothatthepeakvoltage,whichisDCvoltageoverlappedbyripplecurrent,
shouldnotexceedtheratedvoltage.
Inthecasewheremorethantwoaluminumelectrolyticcapacitorsareusedinseries,pleasemake
surethatappliedvoltageshouldbelowerthanratedvoltageshouldbeappliedtoeachcapacitorequallyusingabalancingresistorinparallelwiththecapacitor.
Outersleevedofthecapacitorisnotguaranteeasanelectricalinsulator.Donotusestandardsleeveonacapacitorinapplicationsthatrequireelectricalinsulation.Whentheapplicationrequiresspecialinsulation,pleasecontactoursalesofficefordetails.
Capacitorsmustnotbeusedunderfollowingconditions:
(a)Capacitorsmustnotbeexposedtowater(includingcondensation),brineoroil.
Ambientconditionsthatincludetoxicgasessuchashydrogensulfide,sulfurousacid,nitrousacid,chlorine,ammonium,etc.
Ambientconditionsthatexposethecapacitortoozone,ultravioletrayandradiation.
Severevibrationandphysicalshockconditionsthatexceedourspecification.
Vibrationtestcondition:
Vibrationfrequencyrange:10~55~10HzSweeprate :10~55~10Hzperminute
Sweepmethod :logarithmic
Amplitudeoracceleration:1.5(max.accelerationis10G)Directionofvibration:X,Y,ZdirectionTestingtime :2hourspereachdirection
Shockisnotapplicablenormally.Ifaparticularconditionisrequired,pleasecontactoursalesoffice.
Whendesigningacircuitboard,pleasepayattentiontothefollowing:
MakethepadspacingonthePCboardmatchingwiththeleadspaceofthecapacitor.
Thereshouldnotbeanycircuitpatternorcircuitwireabovethecapacitorsafetyvent.
Themainchemicalsolutionoftheelectrolyteandtheseparatorpaperinthecapacitorarecombustible.
Theelectrolyteisconductive.WhenitcomesincontactwiththePCboard,thereisapossibilityofpatternorshortcircuitbetweenthecircuitpattern,whichcouldresultinsmokingorfire.Donotlocateanycircuitpatternbeneaththecapacitorendseal.
DonotdesignacircuitboardsothatheatgeneratingcomponentsareplacednearanaluminumelectrolyticcapacitororreservesideofPCboard(underthecapacitor).
Pleaserefertothepadsizelayoutrecommendationsinourcataloguewhendesigninginsurfacemountcapacitors.
Electricalcharacteristicsmayvarydependingonchangesintemperatureandfrequency.Pleaseconsiderthevariationwhenyoudesigncircuits.
Whenyouinstallmorethan2capacitorsinparallel,considerthebalanceofcurrentfollowingintothecapacitor.
Mounting
Onceacapacitorhasbeenassembledinthesetandpowerapplied,donotattempttore-usethecapacitorinothercircuitsorapplication.
Electricpotentialbetweenpositiveandnegativeterminalmayexistasaresultofreturnedelectromotiveforce,sopleasedischargethecapacitorusing1KQresistor.
Leakagecurrentofthepartsthathavestoredforlongperiodmayincrease.Whenleakagecurrenthasincreased,pleaseperformavoltagetreatmentusinga1KQresistor.
PleaseconfirmratingandpolaritybeforeinstallingcapacitoronthePCboard.
Becarefulnottodeformthecapacitorduringinstallation.
PleaseconfirmthattheleadspacingofthecapacitormatchesthepadspacingofthePCboardpriortoinstallation.
Pleasepayattentiontothemechanicalshocktothecapacitorbysuctionnozzleoftheautomaticinsertionmachineorautomaticmounted,orbyproductchecker,orbycenteringmechanism.
Reflowsoldering:pleasesee“Lead-freeReflowSolderingCondition".
Donottilt,laydownortwistthecapacitorbodyafterthecapacitorsaresolderedtothePCboard.
DonotcarrythePCboardbygraspingthesolderedcapacitor.
Pleasedonotallowanytimetotouchthecapacitoraftersoldering.IfPCboardarestoredinstack,pleasemakesurePCboardortheothercomponentsdonottouchthecapacitor.ThecapacitorshallnotbeeffectedbyanyradiatedheatfromthesolderedPCboardorothercomponentsaftersoldering.
Cleaning
①Donotcleancapacitorswithhalogenatedcleaningagent.However,ifitisnecessarytocleanwithhalogenatedcleaningagent,pleasecontactoursalesoffice.
②Recommendedcleaningmethod: Applicable:Anytype,anyratings
Cleaningagents:PineAlphaST-100S,cleaningthrough750H/750L/710M,SanelekB-12,AquaCleaner210SEP,TechnoCareFRW14~17,IsopropylAlcohol.
Cleaningcondition:Totalcleaningtimeshallbewithin5minutesbyimmersion,ultrasonicorothermethod.Temperatureofthecleaningagentshallbe6(FCorlower.Aftercleaning,capacitorsshouldbedriedusinghotairforminimumof10minutesalongwiththePCboard.Hotairtemperatureshouldbebelowthemaximumoperatingtemperatureofthecapacitor.Insufficientdryafterwaterrinsemaycauseappearanceproblems,sleeveshirk,bottom-platebulgeandsuch.
Avoidusingozonedestructivesubstanceforcleaningagentstoconcernaboutglobalenvironment.
Pleaseconsultusregardingothercleaningagentsorcleaningmethods.
InTheEquipment
Donotdirectlytouchterminalbyhand.
Donotshortbetweenterminalbyconductor,norspillconductibleliquidsuchasalkalineoracidicsolutiononornearthecapacitor.
Pleasemakesurethattheambientconditionswherethesetisinstalledwillbefreefromspillingwateroroil,directsunlight,ultravioletrays,radiation,poisonousgases,vibrationormechanicalshock.
