---affectedcognitively---normaladultsastheyaged.
Peopleinthestudyhadanaverageageof74whentheystartedthetraining,which
involvedlOto12sessionslasting60to75minuteseach.Thetrainingcoursewasdesignedto
improvespecificcognitiveabilitiesthatbegintodeclineaspeopleage.Itdidnotaimto
preventdemenlia(痴呆)causedbyunderlyingdiseasesuchasAlzheimer's.Afterfiveyears,
