• Topreventelectricalshockhazard,disconnectthepowercablefromtheelectricaloutletbeforerelocatingthesystem.

• Unplugthepowercordfromthewallsocketbeforetouchinganycomponent.

• Useagroundedwriststraportouchasafelygroundedobjectorametalobject,suchasthepowersupplycase,beforehandlingcomponentstoavoiddamagingthemduetostaticelectricity.

• HoldcomponentsbytheedgestoavoidtouchingtheICsonthem.

•Wheneveryouuninstallanycomponent,placeitonagroundedantistaticpadorinthebagthatcamewiththecomponent.

• Beforeyouinstallorremoveanycomponent,ensure

thatthepowersupplyisswitchedofforthepowercordisdetachedfromthepowersupply.Failuretodosomaycauseseveredamagetothemotherboard,peripherals,and/orcomponents.

Tooptimizethemotherboardfeatures,wehighlyrecommendthatyouinstallitinanSSIEEB3.61compliantchassis.

Makesuretounplugthechassispowercordbeforeinstallingorremovingthemotherboard.Failuretodosocancauseyouphysicalinjuryanddamagemotherboardcomponents!

Wheninstallingthemotherboard,makesurethatyouplaceitintothechassisinthecorrectorientation.Theedgewithexternalportsgoestotherearpartofthechassisasindicatedintheimagebelow.

Placesix(6)screwsintotheholesindicatedbycirclestosecurethemotherboardtothechassis.

Donotovertightenthescrews!Doingsocandamagethemotherboard.

ForadditionalprotectionfrommotherboardbreakageduetotheweightoftheCPUheatsinks,yourmotherboardpackagecomeswithCEKspringsthatyoucanuseasweightsupport.InstalltheCEKspringsbeforeinstallingthemotherboard.

IfyourchassisisSSIEEB3.61compliant,werecommendthatyouusetheCEKsprings;otherwise,usethesupportplateskit.

EachCEKspringhasfourhookstomatchthedesignatedholesaroundtheCPUarea.

4. Pressthelowerspringclipsinward,theninserttothelowerCPUheatsinkholesuntiltheysnapinplace.

5. IfyouinstalledasecondCPU,repeatsteps2to4toinstalltheCEKspringtotheCPU2heatsinkholes.
