Greenlee763and764M4RatchetCableCuttersarenon-insulatedcuttingtoolsintendedforuseoncopperandstandardaluminumelectricalcable.The763willaccommodateupto500MCMcopperor795MCMaluminumcable.The764M4willcutupto750MCMcopperor795MCMaluminumcable.

Bothcablecuttersratchetandareequippedwithfiber-glasshandlesandrubbergripstolimitoperatorfatigue.

TheyarenotintendedforuseonACSR(aluminumcable,steel-reinforced)cable.

1.Cutterjawmechanism:stationaryjaw(1),movablejaw(3),jawbolt(25),jawspacer(4),returnspring(5),andrelatedhardware.

2.Jawdrivemechanism:masterdrivegear(16),mastergearshaft(26),drivepawl(15),pawlspring(12),pawlshaft(19),topandbottomhandleplates(14,22)andoperatinglever.

3.Jawholdingmechanism:holdingpawl(15),pawlspring(17),pawlshaft(19)andpawlreleasepin(27).

Boththejawmechanismanddrivemechanismcanberemovedandservicedwithoutdisassemblyofthehousing.

1.Removecapscrew(21).Releasetensiononexten-sionspring(5)byopeningtheoperatingleverandrotatingreleasepin(27)outward.

2.Removenut(6).

3.Removebolt(25)andspacer(4).

4.Disconnectspring(5)fromhousing(13).

5.Removeretainingring(9)fromgearshaft(26).Alsoremovetwoscrews(8)fromstoppin(20).

6.Removeshaft(26)andgear(16).

7.Removetheoperatingleverassembly.

8.Removerubberbumpers(10)fromreleasepin(27).

9.Removetwohousingscrews(11).Lifthousingfromtool.

10.Removetwoscrews(11)todisassembleoperatingleverassemblyandremovepawl(15),pawlspring(12)andpawlshaft(19).
