“happyasaclam”意为“非常开心、快乐”,这个短语源于美国,目前仍是典型的美式英语。
它的完整表达是:Happyasaclamathightide,最早出现在19世纪初期,到了19世纪30年代,
后面的athightide被省略,短语正式变为happyasaclam。知道了完整形式,就不难理解为什
么“开心(happy)”会和“蛤蝌(clam)”扯上关系了□
lowtide(低潮)使蛤蝌很容易在沙滩上现身,人们发现、挖走它的几率也就大大提高。而
