从前有一个花匠,他精心地照管着自己的花园。他用两只水桶浇花,其中一只是闪亮的新桶,另一只

却已经使用了很多年,看起来非常破旧,早已不复昔日的辉煌。

每天早晨,花匠会把两个桶装满水,然后挑着它们沿着小路走到花网。新水桶非常骄傲,它里面的水

满满的,一点都没有溢出。旧水桶却感到非常惭愧,因为它身上有小洞,还没到花圃,很多水已经沿着小

路漏掉了。

有时候,新水桶会说,"看我多能干!花匠有我每天帮他浇花多好!我真不知道他为什么还舍不得丢

掉你。你简直就是个废物嘛!"

而那只旧水桶只会说,"我知道我没有多大用处,但是我会尽我所能。至少,花匠仍然觉得我还有一

有一天,花匠听到了它们的交谈。像往常一样给花浇完水后,他说,"你们两个都做得很好。现在我

两个水桶就照着花匠说的做了。沿着小路,他们看到,新水桶经过的那一边,只有光秃秃的土地,而
